there was an eerie silence in the medbay as rose padded softly towards the bed. paige...she didn’t look great. but she looked alive, and right now, that was all rose needed from her.

the younger tico sister took a seat at her sister’s bed, hands closing around one of paige’s. she felt her fingers twinge, closing gently around rose’s, and that was it, that broke the dam. rose started crying, sniffling and choking. she was an ugly crier, and would surely curse paige later.

“you...you’re such an idiot, paige. you could have- you could have died-” 

she wiped her nose and choked back a sob.

“i can’t lose you, paige. don’t make me do this a-alone--”
