ryker   leans   against   the   wall   ,   lit   cigarette   held   loosely   between   slender   fingers   .   he’s   been   waiting   for   fifteen   minutes   now   ,   mood   souring   each   second   that   the   other   continues   to   be   late   .   he   watches   tendrils   of   smoke   form   &   wisp   away   into   nothingness   ,   mind   elsewhere   as   footsteps   finally   approach   .   suddenly   ,   the   cigarette   is   taken   from   his   grasp   &   replaced   with   something   else   &   when   the   vampire   looks   down   ,   his   cigarette   is   stubbed   out   on   the   concrete   &   a   heart   shaped   lollipop   is   in   his   hand   .   “   what’s   this   ??   ”

    feet crunching against the fallen leaves, boots covered in mud, the witch walked through the damp town with a lollipop securely in her mouth. the candy filled her up with sweetness, much unlike the bitterness of the environment around them. the smell of cigarette smoke caused her attention to drift and jia found herself approaching a male that was smoking. ‘  how delightful, ’ she murmured sarcastically. if she had been someone else, perhaps she wouldn’t have done what she did but her boldness was on her side. plucking the cigarette out of his grasp, she replaced it with another, identical lollipop. ‘  it’s something much better than the cigarette you were just smoking. you’re welcome.  ’
