Extending my break.

[OOC] My plan had been to return on June 1, but RL has made an extension of my break necessary. My health has been a mess (nerve pain flareups, insomnia, all that fun shit). For now I’m estimating it’ll be at least another couple of weeks, possibly a little bit longer. I’m hoping i’ll be back no later than July 1.

I’m not giving up RP entirely during this break, just this account since I’m overwhelmed here. I will still be active on another account, Elliot Alderson from Mr. Robot (http://e11i0talders0n.tumblr.com/). Follow me there if you’d like.

If anything changes, I’ll post another update.

[PSA - Short Break]

This most recent attack of insomnia along with spike in nerve pain it caused seems to have taken a lot more out of me than usual. I feel burnt out both physically and mentally, and my level of interest even in my favorite things has been very low. I’ve had a little bit of creative drive for another character I’m preparing to play and am getting a blog ready for, but that’s it.

To help myself in returning to normal, I’m going to take the pressure of trying to write when I’m really not feeling up to it off of myself by taking a short break from drafts and plotting. I’m hoping for no more than maybe two weeks tops right now, but I may need longer. Whenever I’m ready to come back from it, I’ll let you know.

In the meantime, I’ll still be around, just not writing. I may do some short memes or answer some asks if I get any, but not much else. I appreciate those who are willing to continue to wait.

Update: I need a little more time getting my creative drive really going again, so I'm extending the break until the end of the month. Come June 1, I'll be back and starting to work on drafts again. I'm off work all of next week, and will be focusing on another two characters to help get myself going. [OOC] Even though I’m behind on here and have another muse I’m working on getting going, the temptation to make a blog for Elliot from Mr. Robot is so fucking strong. This is just after one episode, and I can only imagine how much more I’ll want to do it after I finish season one this weekend via a marathon. It’s just such a good show, and I love hackers, and Rami Malek is just wonderful. That meme going around with starters from the show doesn’t help ease the temptation either.

[OOC] Unfortunately, insomnia on both Friday and Saturday night have made me unable to follow through with my planned efforts to return to my regular activity levels on here with writing. Unless some other deterrent comes up like illness or some other interruption from life, I’ll start this up some time this week after I’m no longer messed up from the effects of insomnia.

(Given how many times this has happened since I started writing John on here, I’m starting to think I should just schedule a recurring once-a-month post with the same PSA as this one since it seems to be a cycle. Ridiculous.)
