“Perfect it in a theoretical manner?” he asked, raising a brow that couldn’t be seen behind the glasses. “But how can it be perfected without any testing?” He meant to keep the second statement in his head, but apparently that didn’t happen. “I apologise, I didn’t mean to be rude” he added quickly although he was pretty sure that the damage was already done.
Reed slowly nodded his head. Not really connecting that the man couldn’t see him nod. Regardless, he answered aloud to confirm it, “Yes. I uh...” that one... was a little difficult to explain. As most things were that went on in Reed’s head. “Rude? Heavens no. Rude would be...” he looked around the room briefly as he thought about it. “Rude would be rude, you’ve -- you’ve done nothing rude,” he explained.
“Codes!” He finally declared a little too loud, wincing as it echoed in the lab. “Sorry, I just -- the codes, see. If I perfect the codes, the chances of it working -- See, I don’t really... make mistakes. Well, everyone make mistakes, but I tend to -- tend to catch them.”
