Relationship headcanons: Tickles
Tickles is the ship name for Pickles and Toki, I’m only adding this just incase it’s called something else and people are like “ wha?”
So, within the upstart of this relationship Toki was really drawn to Pickles and Skwisgaar first though Skwisgaar was more he was like him a stranger in these lands despite living there for year(s) before he. Pickles was new and overly easy going and having a weird comfort to him Toki was really drawn into.
With Pickles he can speak to and ask questions without a rather rude comment or snide roll of the eyes. I mean this in a less way then the others I’m not saying he wasn’t like annoyed or fed up with Toki’s constant questions but he was less bitter about it or him not knowing.
With that said as Dethklok grows, with Toki getting more comfortable with the way his new life is and his new friends. He’s definitely going to start questioning his life and who he is as a person. We all know he’s brutal but has a soft side but there is so much more. A lot more he didn’t even know.
One of which was the question of relationships of both more intimate and just the causal hook up. Pickles he ultimately came to with his worries questions and overall thoughts. I strongly believe that Pickles is bisexual and he was known for sleeping with his SNB band mates an other men. Of course women to but that is a given.
So mm I like to think that these two would experiment with sexual and intimate relationships. The other band members don’t know of course for several reasons. But what they don’t know doesn’t hurt them.
Then over time they just kinda fell into this interesting relationship, I don’t think they’d put a real label on it. They’d may or may not give each other a pet name rather it’s seen that way or not in front of the others is up for debate. But with current Dethklok their is definitely more to them.
With all this said here’s some actual headcanons i have for these two.
They have not said I love you to one another but they have a very specific non-verbal way of letting the other know of their feelings. So personally, and this can be up for debate what it is, I think these two will immediately back one another up. Like let’s say Pickles is going on a rampage like with the lamps, rather Toki knows the reason or he just sees Pickles going ham he will join in. No matter and the same as for Toki, Pickles will just right up back him up. It’s rather sweet ( and destructive but shh lol )
Toki likes his hair being played with and or having his scalp lightly being scratched as you play with his hair. These two will often be smoking a doobie with Tokis head in Pickles lap. Pickles hand in Tokis hair messing with it an the pure unfiltered boy Toki feels is unreal. In that moment he not only feels loved but genuinely safe. He knows Pickles will be there for him in the end if things were I go to far south.
Pickles is that one asshole to shove his cold feet|hands up your back|legs. He has been banned from sharing the bed with toki because of this. The funny part it is Pickles own bed he is kicked out of.
They both have trust issues. Like real bad but with one another they’ll slowly start to open up and teach one another it’s ok. It’s ok to trust again.
Toki is very protective over his food, he grew up with little food and when he was homeless hardly anything to eat so he can get somewhat agressive if you try to take it away from him. I feel like he’s constantly hungry too so he eats a lot to in a sense make up for his loss. Pickles knows this and will often give him more of his share. I headcanon Pickles doesn’t eat much before he feels sick so he eats enough to feel full and keep up his blood sugar but the rest will go to Toki.
These two does definitely have dates where they listen to some sorta love song outjnfer the stars far from prying eyes. Tokis eyes will light up as he points out the stars and constellations. Pickles will just lay back listen and smoke enjoying the calm an the way Toki lights up. They will definitely do that super soft rest your head on the shoulder, be held close super close slow shuffle dance. The music can range from broken but meaningful western love songs to things like folk|indie|etc.
Toki works out this is a given and he managed to get Pickles into working out, he may lowkey trick him into teaching his his totally cool fighting moves. That’s definitely NOT mma and or boxing moves, noo psh. Pickles may know what’s up but keep his mouth shut cause he think it’s funny and a good way to get things heated between to the two but shh
Pickles definitely has times where he shuts down or how I call it “clocking out.” He doesn’t want to talk nor interact with anyone as it’s all overwhelming and just way to much to deal with. He can and will whole himself up in small dark places with only a small nightlight. He won’t come out either, so toki has started to leaving him little treats| drinks and short notes saying “hang in there” with a drawing of a cat or something sweet like that near the hiding places door for Pickles. He appreciates cause he doesn’t force him to come and talk but he knows he still cares.
They have matching locket necklaces. Toki has Pickles face in one side of it and the other side probably has Charles on it, if not Charles it’s probably Dr Rockso. Pickles has Toki on one side and Charles on the other. Two people who mean the world to him.
Pickles still at times likes to dress up in his old glam gear for shits and giggles. Toki has seen it is amused and demands to dress up like the totally non brutal metal bands. Pickle indulges and they have a whole night dressed to the nines of 80’s glam band singing and dancing around, and generally making fun of the whole genre.
Toki gives Pickles lavender bouquets, the purpose it’s his favorite scent it reminds him of this one time as a young teen of a woman he met that treated him so kind, so soft for the first time in his life. He hasn’t seen her ever again just the once before he was locked in the hole.
In turn Pickles gives him bouquets of lilac, in the same sentiment but with different memories. The summers the lilac bushes would bloom and fill the air were some of Pickles favorites he’d lean back drink and get high while the warm summer rays kept him warm with the breeze sending the lilacs near by over. It was generally some of his most calming and at peace times as a kid.
When they sleep they like to hold hands. Pickles moves to much or is flayed our some sorta way and Toki sleeps on his back arms folded over his chest. But they when sleeping together will hold hands so they can still know the other is there but not fully disrupt there sleeping habits.
