Samantha Fox's debut album was released on 7 July 1986.

Jive Records help an open audition to find a "British Madonna" to record the song "Touch Me (I Want Your Body)." Fox, who had become famous as a topless "Page 3" model for the Sun newspaper at the age of 16 (Fox was named "Page 3 Girl of the Year" for 1984, 1985 and 1986, she became one of the most photographed British women of the 1980s) was awarded the contract, and the single was released in March 1986, a month before Fox turned 20.

The title track was an international hit, peaking at #3 in the UK and #4 in the US, and the album was recorded quickly to capitalize on its success. The album peaked at #17 in the UK and #24 in the US (where it sold more than 500,000 copies).
