who knew trying to be good inevitably TURNS YOU BAD. worse. a horrible person cursed to be a monster tries to do better, & he’s being forced to SHRIVEL into the beast he ought to be. ghoul looks down; he releases a HUFF, looking quite perplexed. “ ….right, “ there isn’t much he’s feeling ( aside from the confusion ). there’s no sadness, there’s no ANGER. just a piercing through his chest & something in his head LAUGHING AT HIM.

               i know, she thinks, but she doesn’t think she’s able to say it just yet. she has to take a moment; she hasn’t really known him for very long but somehow she’s grown attached. lips press together once more before she takes a breath, gaze returning to his own despite the fact that his own gaze doesn’t meet hers. ‘i know,’ she finally replies, voice quiet. she tilts her head. ‘i was... i didn’t know if telling you would be a good idea but i didn’t want to lie to you.’
