Vahli was surprised by the stranger’s question, a frown forming on his face. More so at the words that followed the question than anything else. How rude. “What I do is none of your business,” was the spirit’s retort, very much displeased by what was said. “I don’t have to tell you, nor do you need to know.”
Honestly, he was mostly annoyed that a trip was being interrupted like this. Just who was this guy? The spirit wasn’t even sure how to read him, never seeing anything quite like the other’s aura before. (It unnerved him, just a bit.)
“…Who even are you?”
≴ ’۞’ ≵ ┅ Feisty little thing, wasn’t he? They highly doubted that there was any bite ( if the other had teeth, they were nothing but that of a child’s loose and incapable of causing anything but minor damage ) behind that cocky bark of his. Then again, the ones who puffed their chests up in a grand show of useless words were the most fun-- whether or not they were aware of how sordid a show they were putting on with ego. It was humorous; only they knew how to use words incorrectly in a most proper way.
Even with that beastly, vengeful blood of theirs still running thick and heavy, they decided it might be best to dabble about in this unseemly situation. Practice turning a sour note into a sweet one; yes, that was a good enough excuse.
“Oh, you haven’t heard of me? That’s great! You should keep it that way. Go on, just eat that question right back up, forget ya even said it,” they responded, completely ignoring the demanding tone it had been presented with. My, but this boy was just a little bundle of joy. “Well, you’re right-- I don’t need to know, but I’m curious, and that’s what killed the cat, so that’s why I’m asking. What, don’t tell me you actually don’t know what you’re doing?”
