The sun was bright, and the humidity was high, but the weather wasn’t about to stop the brunette from traveling around near the caves of Hoenn. She had frequented them enough to know where she was going, if only because she planned to get lost for a few days to find her way around. It was fun, and the caves were so much cooler, temperature wise, than everywhere else. But on this particular trip, she planned to go to new caves, just to see if she could find anything interesting.

It was not uncommon for Steven to be found lurking in one of the many caves that scattered across the Hoenn landscape. In fact, it was almost expected from the young rock collector. It only seemed fitting that Steven would arrange meetings with clients within them as well.
His father had set him with the task of meeting new potential clients who would do business with Hoenn’s “Devon Mafia”, a family group ran by the Stone family whom seem to hold a fair amount of the stocks on most companies within the region. However, even the heir knew better than to bring new suspecting clients into the home base of their operations. That and Steven did not want to upset the Godfather.
Steven was aware when he was bringing tables and chairs into the caves of little old ladies whom gossiped far too much for their own good. He brushed their thoughts of how “mysterious” he seemed to be, only with a small utter of how it was for a secret base. With the inflation of them popping up around Hoenn he was surprised that someone carrying a table into a cave was deemed mysterious.
It never occurred to him until later that the whispers may not have been about him setting up a meeting point, but rather the group of people that seemed to lurk around the caves entrance until the allotted time.
Sat at the table, he watched over his companions small movements. He would clutch at his hands every now and again, reminding himself that he needs to keep calm in these situations. That not only would Devon be in trouble, but also himself should he make any wrong moves or assumptions.
Luckily for him, he was made aware of a new visitor arriving to the meeting. Had he been expecting more guests, Steven would have been slightly irritated that someone had arrived late - although this didn’t seem to be the case. Everyone had already arrived and this only caused his blood to run cold. He worried that he may have ruined an entire operation by someone accidentally stumbling across their meeting.
Turning his head, Steven looked at the intruder. He recognised her as one of the trainers who often travelled across Hoenn. He hadn’t given her too much thought in the past, but was aware of how strong she could potentially be in the future.
“Isn’t it obvious? We’re holding a small business meeting. Although I’m afraid you may have ruined it all.” He sighed before standing and taking steps towards the girl. “I would suggest that you forget everything you’ve seen and for you to leave. Heh.”
He didn’t want this to get messy - and hopefully she would leave before things ended up that way.
