Does your muse have any irrational fears that hold them back in life? Do they come from experience (trauma) or is it, for instance, part of a belief system they have? (both muses!)
Shani has a fear of Pokemon that are deemed “unnatural” to her, such as psychic, steel, but most especially ghost. Her parents always warned her against going out at night with ghosts as the deterrent, and it still works to this day.
Other than that, she doesn’t have a ton of fears that hold her back in life. She’s incredibly brave and hard-headed to the point of stupidity but at the very least, there isn’t much holding her back. There are certain things that she’s afraid of that she's not as conscious of, like the idea of something happening to her family or friends that she can’t protect them from.
Janine’s biggest fear, although not totally irrational, is abandonment. This comes from the trauma of her mother leaving, as well as those who left her life after she came out. This does hold her back in some ways, in that her inability to let go and move on has kept her from growing into a more mature person who can handle the realities of life.
When it comes to fears that are actually irrational, I’ve mentioned briefly that she has an irrational fear of lava, particularly the thought of volcano eruptions and being faced with lava type Pokemon. This was instilled in her by a certain someone threatening sacrifice to the volcano god throughout her childhood. There’s just something about the thought of burning/melting alive that really crawls under her skin in a way that other threats (such as ocean god or sky god) never got to her.
