today I was testing how well my scanner works for scanning comics, specifically some Picsou magazines I acquired off ebay abt 6+ yrs ago, these scans are from Picsou Magazine # 60 (story code S AT 228-B)

I also thought it was a good chance to show off some of my favourite obscure duck characters, although now in 2026 I wouldn't consider Gideon McDuck an obscure character anymore since 2 stories that feature him have been translated into english now! so instead I'll talk abt Aunt Eider, a character who has only appeared in abt 5 stories, and is briefly mentioned in Volume 6 of The Carl Barks Fan Club Pictorial! (along w/ Hustler Duck, another favourite obscure duck character of mine)

Aunt Eider is the Aunt of both Scrooge McDuck and Rockerduck, which I think is a cute concept but never got used much outside of stories written by Dick Kinney, who created her. I like that it creates a situation where Scrooge and Rockerduck sort of "behave"... for the most part.

jokingly, I'll always refer to these two as "Donald's Canadian cousins", with the right context it does make sense. When Donald is travelling to see his distant cousin Whitewater they end up in the middle of the woods, seems pretty "Canada-ish" to me... plus Whitewater reminds me of my own brother at times... that would make me Fethry then...!

I also like to think that Whitewater's shaved sides are actually from cutting off the long whiskers his brother has, anything to not look his "brother" haha

Trans day of visibility was always so funny to me though because trans people are super visible. They never shut up about being trans. Even the ones who pass can't shut up about it. Only vegans are more obsessed with making sure everyone knows what they are.

The main reason we can't coexist with the left is because they don't care about being right. They have zero interest in it. We can never convince them they're wrong or to change their minds because right and wrong mean nothing to them. All they want is to be mad and they will believe anything that gives them an excuse to be mad at people they want to hurt.
