“You may.” He’s more than happy to indulge, giving her a soft squeeze.

He won’t force her. Fugaku just turns right back to his newspaper, wondering if she got that from Sasuke, or her Mother.

“Father” The world is uttered with a single reverence as the last Uchiha takes in the form of his long lost parent. One supposed to be dead in the ground at the hands of Konoha’s finest double agent. “You. You’re not real!” Panic begins to fill his voice as Sasuke’s Eternal Mangykio flares to life in both eyes. “What are you! Are you a puppet of the Edo Tensei!?”

It’s too much sound.

Too much noise. 

Too much sensation on his body he hasn’t felt in years. Fugaku’s head is pounding, and a voice, achingly familiar, is screaming at him. 

You’re not real....are you a puppet...!

Instinct takes over, as well as the physical memory of his last moments. Carefully, Fugaku raises his hands, palms facing forward. He has no weapons, and no intention to fight.

“I mean no harm.”
