So, due to complications with our neighborhoodâs main connection box, Iâm gonna be without internet for a month... cue me rolling on the ground, crying. Iâll do my best to go to the library between summer classes but things will be slow activity-wise in the meantime.
LOST SEASON FOUR (2008) // SENTENCE STARTERS
some of these have been modified to better fit any situation. feel free to change pronouns & descriptors if needed !
did i ever tell you i won the lottery?Â
oh yeah, who needs a hundred and fifty million dollars, right?
i wanna do a cannonball.
the blood trail ends here.
i know youâre dead and iâm not having an imaginary conversation with you.Â
iâm listening to my friend.
same thing iâve always done: surviving.
er, okay, see, erm â
letâs execute him, right here, right now.
put the guns down.
come on, how stupid do you think i â
i swear to god, you say one more word, iâm gonna break your fingers.Â
forgive me, but the day i start trusting him is the day i would have sold my soul.
you donât trust me, i donât trust you.Â
want a ride?
so, what do you do for a living, my friend?Â
do i ⊠know you from somewhere?Â
iâll tell you exactly where you know me from⊠if you let me take you to dinner.Â
youâre not the best candidate for this kind of mission.Â
i guess i was mistaken.
nuh-uh, no, thatâs not what i signed up for.Â
touchĂ©.Â
you donât seem particularly affected by her death.Â
she was hot and i dug her accent.
if a man canât wear his tuxedo by the fifth date, why bother?Â
everyone has a boss.
whatâs his story?
half the stuff he says goes way over my head; the other half goes way, way over.Â
they left me.
dude, donât ask.
how about you stop babbling and just tell us what happened to them?Â
guess theyâre running out of jail space.
should we get dressed?
okay. no more secrets. what do you want to know?Â
whereâs my dress?
youâre gonna kill him?
why are you crying? because it hurts? or because you were stupid enough to care for her?Â
itâs extortion if you want to get technical.Â
enjoy your breakfast.
why would i put you through the headache of time travel, you know?
i love you. iâve always loved you. iâm so sorry. i love you.Â
i promise.
i always have a plan.
hey! hey, hey, hey! you got one!Â
i thought you were dead!
weâre all gonna die.
please, daddy! just please, pleaseâŠÂ
sheâs a pawn, nothing more. she means nothing to me.Â
we are in shock.
you know, those are fifteen years old.
you killed my daughter!Â
iâm sorry i made your life so miserable.Â
iâve been having regular conversations with dead people. the last thing i need now is paranoia.Â
no! iâm not leaving him!
i hope youâre happy now.
weâre gonna have to lie.
MC: That voice, the one that tells you youâre worthless, and stupid, and uglyâŠÂ
Jacob: Yeah?Â
MC: It goes away, right? Itâs just like, a dumb teenage thing, but then it goes away?Â
Jacob: âŠyeah.

âIâm not going to lie,â Astoria began with a huff, her shoulders falling. âIt feels strange not going off to work anymore. Sometimes Iâm tempted to just start a little business for myself just so I could stay busy. Canât have too much time to your thoughts, can you?â
âIt might not be my place to say, but honestly, dear... why not? A little flower shop, or maybe antiques, or books. Or, if youâve got a knack for maths, some bookkeeping for one of the elderly locals here. People always need a hand, I find -- theyâre just never willing to ask.â The wixen knew the pitfalls of boredom too well, especially once their quest had been completed, all was said and done. They struggled to find a place in society outside of school if they were being honest, their heart only continuing to crave adventure, knowledge, and fighting the good fight, settling for a life of curse-breaking and traveling. âI hear that. Just when you think you have a moment of peace, in comes the damned mind, sowing seeds of worry. Canât say Iâd ever mastered the craft of stopping the doubts, just gotten better at shutting them up.â
Ravenclaw, having not slept for four days, vibrating: But how can people not like water??? Water makes up 75% of the body!!! Do you think itâs like some form of low self-esteem??? How can you reject something that you actively require to live?? There has to be some conspiracy to unearth here and I am going to find it. How have humans evolved to despise the one substance they need to keep them alive?Â
Slytherin, on her thirteenth coffee in under 2 hours: âŠYes
evanorabaker:
The majority of Ravenclaws had already gone to bed, putting aside their projects and readingâbe they either personal or class assignedâsome time ago, leaving Nora the only still up.
Quite frankly, she didnât realize exactly what hour it was (too busy immersed in her own studying, with various dictionaries and primers on Latin and Greek sprawled on the table in front of her, covering the whole surface.) Perhaps it was a bit much to be delving into such things when neither was absolutely necessary to pass classes at Hogwarts, but sheâd told her Housemates that sheâd hoped studying the languages would offer insight and help improve upon her spellwork. It was only half true, but no one else needed to know that.
Her reasoning had seemed to appease her fellow Ravenclaws (or theyâd learned by now that Nora was quite anâŠeccentric one, and that it was better to leave well enough alone when it came to her.) Either way, theyâd left her alone.
It was only when Alex had spoken that she looked up with a startâshe hadnât even heard them come in.
âCupcakes?â Nora quickly recovered, a grin spreading across her face. Amused (and, if she was being quite honest, a bit hungry), she eyed the platter for a few seconds before returning their gaze, eyebrows raised. âAt this hour?â
Which was her way of saying âYes.â âŠProvided, of course, that this wasnât some kind of prank.
While the house is known to have its oddities given its reputation for acquiring nerds, the middle child knew that they never exactly fit into the conventional description for a Ravenclaw. In fact, Alexâs best tools were their trusty skateboard and knowledge of the castle that was comparable to their rival -- and somewhat role model, if they were being honest, Peeves. It wasnât the first time that theyâd contemplated being part of Slytherin like their older brother had been, or in Hufflepuff like their younger one is now... It wouldâve been nice, especially since they did take a liking to Tonks.
âWhy not? Iâd say they make a fine midnight snack. Nothing like a bit of sweetness to the end of the day; leaves you off on a good note,â the brunette quirked their brow, smirk creasing their otherwise smooth features, âNever really believed in the whole âsugar gives you nightmaresâ mumbo-jumbo anyway.â
Though they werenât given permission, per se, they slid into the seat across from their housemate. While they never were much for small talk and getting to know people, they were at least aware of Nora. Sheâd lost their brother to the vaults, just like them. Gingerly setting down the plate away from the mess of papers the other was clearly invested in, they themselves picked up one of the pastries and bit into it in a motion more akin to someone taking the first juicy bite of an apple. Then again, Alex always had a sweet tooth, so they might as well have been as important to them as fruit should be.
They motioned again at the plate, knowing better than talk with a full mouth. Plus, they knew actions as a better sign of good faith than their words, especially when theirs usually were about as sweet as vinegar.
Just letting you guys know that weâre switching internet services here, so Iâll be without it for a week! Iâll be able to squeeze replies here and there but activity will be low until Iâm fully back online~
something about starter calls for... @evanorabaker !!
It honestly is a blessing that Alex doesnât plan on being a prefect or someone with any sort of responsibilities, really. While they excelled in class -- because of course they would, Flitwick would be disappointed if they couldnât and they couldnât have that, they were as much of a loose cannon as anyone could be at this school. Always sneaking off somewhere they shouldnât be, always nicking little souvenirs to keep in their drawers or press into the pages of their journal, always pulling pranks on Filch when given the opportunity. Their latest antic? Hauling away a platter of cupcakes and the good (yes, alcoholic, sheâll admit) cider from the kitchens. They thought there would be nobody in the common room when she got back considering the hour but were proven w r o n g.
To that, they simply remarked:Â âwant one?â

something about starter calls for... @notimminentâ !!
âOh, f u c k i n g hell,â they practically hissed out, pocketing the infernal device of the moment. While Alex was surprisingly tech-savvy for a wizard -- then again, having an muggle uncle whoâs entire living was based around computers was quite useful -- these touch screen cell phones were a new kind of beast to figure out. At the moment, they resigned themselves to checking in somewhere to sleep since itâd been a long flight, and her arse was sore. The place someone had pointed out to her while dining earlier seemed good enough as she walked in. Hopefully, the letterman and jeans were normal enough to take attention away from the broom they kept behind their back as they stepped up to the counter. âUh... hello. Room for one, I guess?â Thatâs how these things worked, right?
evanorabaker:
Oh definitely. [She grins. At least thereâs someone out there who appreciates her puns.] Perhaps we should try to form our own parliament to better discuss them?
âIâd say that plans are necessary though -- canât have a pandemonium on our hands, can we?â They tried their best to keep down a chuckle, though it wasnât an easy task; their smirk was prevalent now. âAnd weâd need a meeting spot or we might suffer Snapeâs stare.â
evanorabaker:
Itâs too bad that Ravenclaw House doesnât have âcrowâ in the name instead of âraven.â I could have used spectacular pun on how being a part of this House is murder, but, unfortunatelyâŠI cannot.
Truly, an unkindness to the world.
Truly one of the biggest conspiracy theories concerning Hogwarts houses, donât you think? Itâs a shame there isnât a constable or other caring authority figure to tell about these matters.
