alright, this is long overdue, but it's ur fave tiny person (fun fact, i'm literally 4'9 -- so small) kait. back with an intro post for deanna. she's kind of a wild child and i'm sososososo sO excited to play her. (pls keep in mind, the following contains material that may be triggering to some: drugs tw, assault tw, arrest tw)
she was born originally as danica marie chamberlain & was raised in toronto. deanna lived in the lap of luxury for almost all of her life. see, her father is a very high ranking politician & her mother is an ex-model, considered one of the darlings of canada thanks to her years in the spotlight.
she's the oldest child out of three girls -- and easily the most reckless. as a child, all she wanted to do was cause a scene. if she wasn't the center of attention, something was wrong.
as she got older, this need for constant attention turned into a need for constant partying and constant flow of money. she was always sneaking out at night, going with her friends, getting drunk, sleeping with random people, and generally making terrible decisions.
her parents tried their hardest to tighten the reigns on her but it only seemed to push deanna away. the more they complained about her antics, the harder she partied, the wilder she became.
eventually, deanna fell in with an extremely reckless crowd and eventually became involved with them too much to just walk away. they provided the adrenaline she needed and the money she craved. through their connections, she began selling drugs to her high-profile friends. it started with weed and moved to pills, then to coke.
she had been selling for nearly a year and a half before it really became a problem. not with her family, who suspected what she was doing, but with clients who she refused to sell to after they decided to with hold money from her. threats started coming in, that they'd hurt her family, her friends, and hurt her. it all became too much for the young girl & she panicked.
late one night, she left a long letter to her parents explaining that she needed a life of freedom, that she'd call when she could, but she was leaving home. she only packed what she needed & headed out west, eventually ending up in vancouver.
she had enough money to formally change her name and her look entirely -- which is exactly what she did. and soon, danica became deanna felicity azure -- a hardcore, tough as nails, drug slinger that dealt coke as well as loved it.
unfortunately for dee, she didn't expect how tough life on her own would be. she had to pretend to have a lot less money than she really did in order to stay under the radar, and living below her means was truly difficult for her. on top of that, she had to learn how to be rough and street smart. soon, the violent side of deanna was exposed, and she began getting arrested for things like assault & disorderly conduct. the only thing bigger than her arrest record is her bank account, tbh.
she can be extremely cruel and is known for being blunt & rude to most people. she says exactly what she thinks and has little to no filter. her general tone most of the time is sarcastic and she rarely cares about who she hurts.
but don't let her tough exterior fool you -- dee is super feminine, very sensitive, and extremely romantic. as a matter of fact, she often tries to woo new people. especially women. (she's pansexual, but prefers females over other genders). she falls in love with strangers on the street and pictures her life with people she meets for only a half hour. she's got a big heart that she has to keep guarded in order to keep herself safe.
