[牛] - There was this pain that settled in his chest and he didn’t understand why it was overcoming his entire body. The thing he wanted -well it didn’t technically matter- but he wanted to hold her. Even if it meant very briefly, even if the result was to be pushed and cast aside as he always was. If he were to regret every wanting to hold her and to be avoided once again. There would be that brief moment in which he had his arm’s wrapped around her and that would mean the world to both of them. Reality told him otherwise, he stood there with nothing and he hated that. Maybe pretending to be okay would eventually take it’s turn to make it actually heinous. Though he couldn’t take it anymore; the feeling of his heart being used like an eraser. Black and smudged, and nearly drowned out by stains of pencil marks. — that was the blurred words.
No matter how much wanted to say, his heart erased it and he ignored it. Actions were louder than anything anyone could ever say. He took it upon himself to make thing’s better than they were. Seeing that Rin was trying so hard not to break down into threaten sobs. As if one simple look toward his direction is steadily breaking her in two.
Maybe it would be best to just turn around and leave. Turn around and act like nothing happened, act like he hadn’t seen her in this condition. His feet only moved forward, and his head was like a brick, hanging and making his shoulder’s relax to the point of where he completely felt tolerant. Maybe he didn’t want that world to collapse. That world in which he and Rin created together, and as long as they believed they could make love last, they were happy. If love were to die, then why wouldn’t it do so quickly? So neither of them had to feel the repel. It wasn’t that though- maybe it never left. The closer he got, the more he realized that no- it never did.
Skeptical actions continued now, every single inch was done with a little swirl of his stomach. Fear of everything, fear of being pushed and elevated back toward his lost sources of his mind. He wound up in front of her. Eventually he had knelt down to be inches apart. Clearly, there wasn’t any anticipation from here on. Arm’s swooped around her small body, scooping her into a dainty embrace that soon altered into a tighter endearment; pulling her close. He had said nothing, he had lost all reason to really speak, but that was Hatsuharu Sohma for you, the man of little words.
" — …. "
草摩 依鈴 - The sudden rush around him, the all too familiar feeling of his embrace; Rin had been given no time to react, to push him and run into the darkness of the woods. In all truth, she was glad she had been given no warning, that way she would be able to breathe in the ox's scent, even if just for a small moment. For the past months, she had entirely avoided him, trying to get him to realize the mistake he was doing by being with her. If that didn't work, would anything work? Why did Haru have to feel so attracted to the horse? Others had only ever pushed her away-- and now she was pushing away the one she wanted to be closest to. Not any longer, she wouldn't push him away, at least not yet.
The hug felt like a ticking bomb; if she ran away too soon, one of them would crumble in the flames, yet if she stayed longer, only a little bit longer, the two would be consumed together. Together. That was all Rin wanted to be with Haru. No more running, no more pushing herself to her limits to try and obtain his happiness, in return for all he had done for her. Just two people, in love, closed of from the rest of the world in their own tranquility. Such desires were a childish thing. Nobody was ever happy within the Sohma curse.
Thoughts swirled in her mind, the same ones that led her to becoming insane. Akito had found some way to permanently imprint himself in her mind, making each moment of happiness fleeting. If she stayed any longer, Haru would only be hurt; a thought she could not stand. Pale arms reacher out, she placed them between herself and the ox. The fact that she trembled with fear could no longer be hidden, but she had to run, run as far as she could to somewhere he would never have to see her again. After that, all that was missing was the curse, only after it was broken would Haru be happy, released from his burdens.
"..." No words escaped the horse's lips as she forced herself away from the one she loved most, taking a few steps back to where her body was engulfed in shadow. Isuzu could see him, one last time, pretend the world they had built up together still stood. Reality told her otherwise, their world had crumbled, and although the stood so close to each other, their thoughts were now worlds away. "--I never want to see you again," she gasped out, trying to hide the anxiety in her voice. No matter how many times she had told him that, he had always come back.
‘You.. Aren’t wanted.’
We don’t want you.
