    Tamaki was skeptical, but let it go for now. He was just a somewhat unobservant guy anyway, so surprising him wasn’t a difficult thing to achieve, and it was something the twins often took advantage of. Now that was rude.

    “Rest is good for us all, though it’s a shame that you’re not feeling well today.” Tamaki mused with a bit of a frown. “Is there anything I can do to help you out? I know holidays like that are important to you, so maybe there’s something we can do to make up for it?”

    Pretty big strides from where Tamaki initially was with the older student. He still tends to shy away from the darker aspects of magic and the occult, but it’s important to his friend, so he’d do what he can. 

    “Or at least anything I can do to help make today a little easier for you?”

☠   Something about the colder months, despite the lack of sun, always made him feel worse. It was like his body refused to cooperate with him when the weather got colder. And his friend was so kind to ask.

☠ “Holidays like that are very important to me but.. enough time has passed, I think it would be a little strange to do something now, don’t you agree?” Arguably, Nekozawa himself was strange, but even he had a line he wouldn’t cross. He didn’t want to alienate everyone from himself by acting this way now.  “It is so kind that you would offer your help, you’re a good friend, Tamaki.” 

He smiled at him. “There is one thing- could you help me find the elevator? I can’t seem to find it on this floor..”  This one particular floor was always tricky for some reason or another. It was crowded... even if it looked empty to others. But he wouldn’t tell Tamaki that.

    EEK! 

    “Nekozawa-senpai! Don’t sneak up on me like that!” Tamaki just about squealed, having jumped far more than he would ever dare admit to anyone. How could someone in a wheelchair be so sneaky? Surely he does this on purpose– scaring Tamaki with his approaches. How rude.

    “But, no, nothing planned today. The club is taking today off since some of our members have been struggling in their classes. It was Haruhi’s idea to take a break.” Not that Tamaki entirely minded that. Even the prince needs a break now and then. But he sure wasn’t spending that break studying! Just not what the blonde did.

    “What about you, senpai? Does your club have any plans?”

☠  “I didn’t try to sneak up on you that time...”  The president of the black magic club admitted with a shrug. “Sorry about that, this chair was recently oiled so it didn’t squeak as much...”  That wasn’t even an attempt to scare him, really. “I feel bad about it..” 

“So nothing planned at all? That’s good, you wall work so hard, you deserve a break. Haruhi is very умный - smart.”  He translated with a smile. “As for me, because I am not feeling well today, we will also probably be taking a break. It’ s a shame too, I was too ill to do anything for this past halloween, and I’ve not been fairing well.  Today at least, I think a break is in order.”

☠ “Good morning Tamaki.” Nekozawa waved at his friend from his wheelchair, wheeling himself over to the blonde. “I don’t usually catch you before you go to your club room, so I figure I’d say hi. How is your morning going?”   A normal conversation over all. He always thought of him as a morning person, Tamaki was always so full of energy whenever he did see him. 

“Kekeke... do you have anything big planned today?”

 PERFECT— he hasn’t ever really heard someone describe him that way, not ever. He had a hard time processing what it was the other was saying for just a moment. Maybe it was medication talking ? It just had to be, as the IVs were hooked up to machines on the hospital beside & the constant beeps filled him with constant anxiety.  Head still hid within the other’s chest, concentrating on the other’s breathing, the lower and rising of his chest & how valuable the other SEEMED was comforting.  To be just laying here helplessly, however, was not.  Knowing dang well that if he were caught by one of the nurses he would be told to get out of the bed, unlatch his arms from around the other’s waist & —- that wasn’t going to happen. They would MOST likely have to peal him off.        ❝ IDOIT, where the hell else would I go ?! ❞

☠  Umehito smiled and chuckled a little. “Fair enough- I’m glad you are here.”  Thankful that he’d stay the night with him in the hospital. The nurses would only separate them if they had to do a checkup and for now he seemed stable so it wouldn’t be a problem. The beeping from the machines was something that used to bother him as a child but now it was so easy for him to tune out, drawing all his focus to his boyfriend. It was nice, hospitals were so cold but having warmth pressed against him, warmer than any heated blanket, was just comforting. He did feel bad though, hospital food was not desirable at all. “Do you know where the vending machines are, in case you need a drink or snack?”
