With some effort, Alexander lifted his shoulders in a half-attempted shrug. “Don’t get me wrong, I do try — but then I just lose interest.” He explained, completely nonchalant about the situation. “You know me, not a particularly great people person.” Alex muttered, as he took another deep inhale of the nicotine-laced stick held loosely between his fingers.
"So I've noticed," Devyn replied monotonously, the hint of a smirk playing with the corners of her lips. With a shrug, she adverted her gaze back down to her feet, her nimble fingers toying with the sleeves of her sweater. "Well," she began with a click of her tongue, glancing back up at him through thick lashes. "Maybe you could hone those skills a bit more-- you know, get used to a little thing called manners, for beginners. Most people have 'em, in case you didn't notice"
