“Oh no, I don’t think it would be smart to do that. I prefer to do something that would ease my mind after a day in this town.” Mary Jane didn’t want to sound too condescending, after all everyone did what was best for them but there was an air of tiredness around the young woman that just stayed with her all of the time as of late; it was the state of the world they lived in that was getting to her one way or another, something that made her feel not so young on some days. “I can understand wanting some quiet and alone time, trust me. I won’t judge you at all… even if it prompted you to be on my roof in the middle of the day.” Her lips slowly pulled into a small smile and she could feel her fingers relaxing around the box. His nervousness was kind of adorable for her and it definitely suited him but it still wasn’t completely enough to make her drop her guard down. Eventually, MJ made a small step forward. “I don’t know, maybe by letting me know the next time you feel like walking on my roof…” she teased. “Okay, there’s a few more boxes in the car. Pick any you want and let’s see if you’re not a roof-climbing creep. But I’m watching you!”

“Yeah, I mean, you’re probably right...” He laughed slightly, nodding his head. He didn’t know why exactly, but a part of him was determined to gain her trust. It was strange since he simply just met the woman, and in other situations he would already be out and running, but something about it felt different. “Again, a great spot, you know, if you’re feeling adventurous.” He joked, shrugging his shoulders lightly. He laughed at her next comment. “Fair point, next time I’m planning on hanging out on your roof I’ll definitely give you a heads up. And I say that in a total non-creepy way.” He jested, feeling a slightly less tense by her. His smile grew as she allowed him to help her with the boxes, satisfied by his achievement. He made his way to her car and picked up one box, walking back to her. “I’m Peter by the way, now at least you’re not letting a complete stranger in.”

Yonah took a deep breath walking towards the doorstep, she had finally moved out of the city life of Gotham to … the city life of New York city. She watched the movers with her boxes a melancholy look of glee on her face until she had noticed someone on the roof. As she watched him jump down, her own cheeks began to redden a bit. Not that she’d already found him attractive or anything, Definitely not, “ Oh no worries. Where I’m from the rooftops make the perfect hanging out spot.” She laughed, “ I don’t think I’ll need help with the boxes, Well…” she then looked back at the movers, “ A little bit of help couldn’t hurt could it?"she mumbled a bit,

” By the way I’m Yonah, and you are?“

Peter scratched the back of his head, attempting to shake the awkward feeling of the unexpected situation. He found out that he somewhat had a talent of embarrassing himself in front of pretty women. He chuckled at her words, slightly relaxing by the way she took it. Honestly, he expeted her to be already dialing the nearest police station by now, but she seemed quite unbothered, as if she’s used to having strange occasions like this happening to her, it made him curious. “Is that so? Where is it that you’re moving from?” He raised a brow, a smirk remained on his face. “I’d be happy to, how else would I prove my pure intentions if not by being neighborly?” He joked slightly, shrugging his shoulders. “Peter. Nice meeting you Yonah.” He smiled, eyeing the boxes on the ground, he picked up the one that seemed the heaviest, definitely not as an attempt to impress her. “After you.”

     There was just something about being free from her family and starting a new life that was accelerating to her. This was her new life and to look around and see the houses and tall buildings was something of a dream to her. To meet a stranger on her rooftop the first day of moving in wasn’t what she thought would happen but so far of all the strangers that she could run into, Peter didn’t seem like the worst one, she was actually liking him so far which turned the corners of her lips upwards in a smile. ❝Originally I’m from Gainesville, Florida and it’s great there but I like the thought of the city life more. ❞ She hummed lightly about it. Her parents still lived in Florida and to have her move away was hard on them but they were also proud of her. Telling her life story to somebody was something she would have to get use to doing around here. ❝ You clearly grew up here I take it? ❞ She raised a brow up as she pointed to her room with a light amused grin on her lips. She didn’t feel shy or awkward around him and wanted to get to know him more. It sparked something inside of her and if she made a friend on the first day it would be a great accomplishment. ❝ True, we’re not strangers but we’re not friends yet either, we’re just hitting that acquaintance stage. Who knows what this relationship will turn into. ❞ She joked as she nodded her head though. ❝ I’ll accept the offer now. ❞

Peter thought many times what it would be like if he chose one day to get up and move far away, start a new life from scratch, completely alone. The idea intrigued him but he knew that it would be kept at least for the time he’s done fighting crime and sort of retire from this whole ‘friendly neighborhood spiderman’ thing. “Yeah, it is a pretty great city. Can’t really see myself live anywhere else, at least for now I guess...” He shrugged while the smile remained on his face. “Oh yeah, I did grew up here. What gives me away?” He grinned, tilting his head. He enjoyed the way it seemed like she felt a slightly more comfortable speaking to him. “Well, we’re gonna have to test it, you might bless the day I landed on your roof.” He joked back, then looked over behind her, seeing the pile of boxes. He approached to it, picking up one of the boxes and turned back to her. Sure, he could’ve taken a few more at the same batch but he felt like he didn’t really want to rush it, or have his super-strength show accidently. “So, gonna let the half-stranger into your house now?” He joked, motioning at the door with a head-tilt.

     It made her laugh about how he agreed letting strangers into your new home wasn’t the best idea. It was never a good idea to let a stranger in anywhere you were but here she was talking to one in Brooklyn, thankfully a more quiet area of it. She wasn’t expecting to meet anybody so early to moving here let alone someone who looked to be around her age, looked fairly handsome. ❝ Kassandra, but call me Kas or Kassie, Kassandra was reserved for my mother. ❞ She joked as she rose a brow lightly about how he was mostly normal. ❝ You mean you are a normal person? I would have thought that you were someone of an abnormal person. ❞

He wondered if she moved there completely alone. There was some courage in that, especially in a city this big. If that was the case he figured she might could use having some friendly faces around. “Kas or Kassie it is then.” He nodded with a grin. He laughed slightly at her next comment. “Well I did say mostly. Being entierly normal is kind of boring isn’t it?” He joked. “So where did you move from?” He questioned, just generally curious about knowing her. Normally after being caught in someone’s property (a thing that happened quite a few times) he would apologize briefly and flee from the scene before there are too many questions asked, but there was something about her that simply sparked his interest, and he found himself wanting to get on her good side and also stay a bit longer. “Well now that I know your name and you know mine, I think we’re technically by the definition not strangers anymore. So now I’ll ask again politely if you need any help carrying the rest of these boxes. Feel free to refuse, but just know that I’m stronger than I look, might be worth it for the job.” He said, figuring she might realize that his actual intention is spending more time with her, hoping it was done as smooth as it sounded in his head.

     It was at that time where Kassandra was ready to move to New York, ready to start her life as she parker her car, opening up the trunk to pick up a box. This was a big step for her in her life to be here by herself. She was about to start her new life and yes, her place that she bought wasn’t crazy loud, busy or that expensive, it wasn’t in the heart of New York but this was going to be her new home. Holding the box in her arm, her brows knit together as she looked up to see a man on her roof, making her look up to him and calling out to get their attention. The moment that he jumped down, she was worried about his legs or ankles hurting as she about dropped her box to reach out to him before he was perfectly find which made her breath. ❝ Roof company… ❞ She stated as she gave a look of complete disbelief about what he was saying. She stood there and let him talk, it only made her try not to laugh as she shook her head. ❝ I think I’ve got it.. besides who says you aren’t here to steal my stuff. ❞ She joked as she set the box down on the doorstep. ❝ I don’t even know who you are. ❞

Peter instantly noticed that the woman seemed a bit confused as he jumped down with such ease and no sign of hurt, he made a mental note to himself to fake a light limp as he walks, not wanting to appear any more suspicious than he probably already is. He felt instant relief at the way she seemed more amused by him rather than alarmed or angry. The same awkward smile remained on his face, he suddenly also became very aware of how pretty the red headed woman was. He nodded jestfully at her words. “Yeah, thinking about it letting strangers into your newly bought house in Brooklyn might not be the smartest idea.” He joked lightly, grinning. “Peter.” He introduced with a slight smile. “And other than a strange habit to relax on various quiet rooftops I swear I’m mostly normal.”

Mary Jane had seen her fare share of weird stuff going on not only around town but in the world to begin with. Every time she felt like there wasn’t anything new that could’ve surprised her, something new came up and did just that. It was equally terrifying for the young woman but at the same time, a tiny little sliver of her soul actually got excited about the endless possibilities, heroes and villains and something in between roaming all around them, most of the time looking just like any other normal person. She knew herself, knew how scary it could be for a woman like her who didn’t knew any way of protecting herself except using her words and her brain. So when her work offered to cover a new place for her to stay in, somewhere in a much safer neighborhood, the redhead jumped at the opportunity. She had left her family’s apartment a few years back and preferred to be on her own, despite the difficulties it posed. But seeing the new house, Mary Jane knew she had made the perfect decision. Even if there was some unknown man literally chilling at the rooftop. So as her feet slowed down and eventually stopped a good few steps away from the man, she couldn’t help but squeeze the box in her hands a little tightly, quickly darting a look on both ways. “Um… It’s okay, I guess. How did you climb up all the way there exactly?”, she questioned with clear suspicion in her gentle voice. He didn’t look like a threat, nor like someone who could actually hurt another but pretty faces lied all of the time. MJ knew that perfectly well. Unfortunately. “No, no need for help, thank you. I might be tiny but I can handle a few boxes up the stairs. Supposedly.” The redhead viewed the path ahead, making sure that her words weren’t too hard to accomplish.

Peter noticed how unease the redhead in front of him seemed, obviously for understandable reasons, after all he did just hang out on her roof. He didn’t know if he should curse his lousy luck or actually thank his good fortune in this situation that somehow got him to randomly climb on the one roof where its owner is quite a beautiful woman. He chuckled nervously and looked back at the roof he just jumped off of. “Oh um, it’s actually quite practical, if you place your leg, uh, over there...” He motioned with his hand towards the direction of the roof. “Yeah I would ,um, definitely recommend, you should definitely try sometime...” He jested awkwardly, scratching the back of his head with a light grin. “Honestly, I was pretty sure this house was empty for a long time and it might be weird, but I find height quite relaxing... no logical explanation honestly.” He blurted with not much of a long pause after his last sentence to her. He shook his head at her next words. “Oh come on, I insist. How else would I prove to you that I’m not a complete roof-climbing creep?”

plot: peter is chilling on an empty house’s roof, not knowing that house was sold to your muse/someone you know, having your muse bump into him while moving in boxes.

It’s safe to say that Peter had a rough week. It started out by getting hit by a car while attempting to chase a car thief (let’s just say that the guy managed to get away...) and continued on with an incident where he completely ran out of webs while swinging in the air (a painful experience). Somewhat it just seemed like he was entirely out of luck and completely out of focus in the last few days. That was good enough of a reason to go to one of his preferred locations to get some peace and quiet. It was a pretty long line of empty houses in Brooklyn that were for sale for quite a long time. He always sat on the same house’s rooftop, every time with a different book/game on his phone. It was quite far from the city’s noise, and he always found it somewhat more relaxing. There was always almost zero movement in that street on that hour of the day, and so it threw him off guard as he heard a person yell at him from the front steps of the house, holding large boxes. It was there when he finally paid attention to the sign at the entrance of the house that said ‘sold’. While cursing his spidey senses for not picking that up, Peter immediately straightened up, “Oh gosh ! I’m so sorry, no worries I’m getting right down !” He awkwardly blurted and jumped off from the roof. “I’m from the, uh... roof company ! to fix the... uh...” He looked around, attempting to find a believable lie, as he returned his focus back to the person he realized he couldn’t fool them. “Right, yeah, just forget I was here, promise I’m not a drunk vandalist.” He grinned awkwardly and scratched the back of his head. “Do you need, uh, help with the boxes or something...?” He said as an attempt to overcome the embarrasing moment.
