Endogenic Ally
A flag for traumagenic systems who support endogenic systems.
One of our headmates posted this on Reddit some time ago and I thought I'd like to share it here, too.
I am a part of a traumagenic OSDD system and believe that endogenic systems are valid. Your identity should not be up for debate.
I understand that those who went through trauma like we did too might feel attacked by this topic because for some it might seem like belittleling or trivilazing the trauma and abuse they and we went through, but this is not what is happening here. Endogenic systems are just living their lives, expressing their identities and not hurting anyone. They don't claim that they have the exact same struggles as traumagenic systems, they are not taking anything away from us, they are just trying to be themselfes. Why should we police that? If their brain can produce a system without trauma than that's just how their brain is. If they are a system through spirituality then that is just who they are. If they are a system for any other reason then that is just who they are. There is nothing wrong with that.
it's still really funny to me that the system thing works at all. (brain voice) you're so so very upset? i got a plan for this! let's bring out the "not upset" one
journals
The most basic, intractable fact about mental illnesses is that you simply cannot willpower your way out of them. The only exceptions to this rule are the ones I have, which continue to disable me due to lack of determination and other grave personal flaws
hey. those go somewhere
took the husband to the aquarium today for a date. the fish were cool,
spent some of today after finishing a bigger project journaling and making some goals for the month but it did result in somethng kind of funny so
what defines 'you' and 'me' can always change! we aren't stuck in place
Why did 4 months of this year go by in like a week
Where am I

I really don't know what to do with the fact that my teeth have been toothpaste flavored for over 24 hours despite much eating and no additional toothpaste. Like what's even happening there. Perplexing.
Maybe your tongue is toothpaste flavored?
The rest of my mouth doesn't taste like toothpaste though. Like it's very clearly concentrated in the teeth.
For the record, it lasted for about 36 hours in total. Still no idea what that was about but okay
someone was brushing your teeth when you weren't looking.
...for 36 hours?
i had a lot of time on my hands
