NAME: Iona (”island”, “blessed”)

NICKNAME(S): The Noble Feline, Sheogorath’s Feline

AGE: N/A

BIRTHDAY: She says her birthday “should be” on June 29th. Truthfully, she doesn’t actually have a ‘birthday’ like mortals would.

ZODIAC SIGN: Cancer (emotional, sentimental, imaginative, faithful, romantic, dependent, unrealistic) 

SPECIES: Daedra with mortal characteristics

GENDER: Daedra lack sexes or gender. Iona, however, identifies as a female. 

ORIENTATION: Pansexual panromantic

MARITAL STATUS: It’s complicated. Really, really complicated. It always is, always has been.

EDUCATION: Self-taught, for the most part. Iona never had formal schooling. Excluding a few... unpleasant matters. Best not to discuss that.

LANGUAGES KNOWN: Iona’s mother tongue is Daedric. However, she has learned Tamrielic out of necessity.

BODY TYPE: Beanpole Iona has a slender body type. 

HAIR: Long and platinum blonde. Often styled (think braided up-dos, french braids) and accentuated with accessories (flowers, ribbons, bugs). 

EYES: Cerulean blue with long eyelashes. 

SKIN:  Possessing an especially fair skin tone, Iona's skin tone contributes to a more 'doll-esque' visage, while simultaneously making her more sensitive to sunlight in turn.

HEIGHT: 5′0″

WEIGHT: 96 lbs

SCARS: While she makes an effort to cover her old scars, Iona does have quite a few scars hiding on her back.

TATTOOS/PIERCINGS: Not yet. But she is fascinated by them. 

OTHER: It is important to note that without her armor (which specifically subdues her empathy), Iona’s ability to fight back and defend herself is almost impossible.

SIBLINGS: Molag Grunda could be considered Iona’s ‘sister’. 

PARENTS: Although not in the way mortals view parental relationships, she calls Molag Bal her ‘father’.

CHILDREN: As a Daedra and not an Aedra, Iona’s ability to actually create is severely limited. This extends to the topic of children - even if she does love them to bits and would want one.

ACQUAINTANCES/FRIENDS: Although I doubt Haskill would agree, she claims they are friends. In the most inconsistent sense of the word, Iona and Thadon don’t have much of a problem with each other.

Following Amlugnir’s gaze towards the window, a tranquil element coated over Iona’s blue eyes. As if mystified by the presence of snow - like she had never witnessed the occurrence before - a childlike fascination seemed to characterize her features in an uncharacteristically peaceful manner.  Nonetheless, his words shot her back to reality. Or, moreover, whatever constituted as reality to the young Daedra.  “Oooh! ~ Quite the bite to j’your words, Amlugnir. J’You are lucky that is my thing.” Iona playfully spoke, her eyes focused on his features. “Worry not, J’I know much more about history than j’you might expect. Almost as if one lived through j’it!” 

“Normalcy here and normalcy where J’I am from as very different sets of statistics, my grumpy suitor. We are all normal in flesh, bone, and instinct - j’it is how j’it manifests that sets us apart as wolves or lambs.Luckily for j’you, J’I am a wolf raised to be a lamb. Ah! J’I shall be quieter than the snow outside. Maybe. Maybe not. Consistency is a convenience awarded only to the quick-witted.” 

Catching the cloak with one hand, Iona’s right hand instinctively traced her fingers across the cloak. Seemingly, the tailor’s mind naturally studied any form of cloth or clothing given to her. Putting the cloak on, the warmth seemed to soothe her to an extent.  “Meet someone! Amlugnir, j’you have friends?!”

Amlugnir rolled his eyes at her words, heading towards the door. He thought, if you know so much, then why don’t you enlighten me one day? Amlugnir couldn’t care less what else she had to say afterwards, but her constant blabbing only annoyed him more. Does she not know how to silence herself?

When asked about his relationship with others, he only stopped at the door, his hand just inches away from the handle. “I do have friends, just not many.” It was a lie, but he did not care. I do not need friends, I have no need for them.

They were outside of Winterhold without resistance or questioning looks from his colleagues and guards. Hmph, the guards seem to have a level head today. Amlugnir looked behind him to see if Iona was keeping up and pulled his hood closer to his head. “You will have to keep up,” he called out to her, “this storm is only to get worse the more we delay.”

The hesitation did more than pique Iona’s interest - it unsettled an already uncontrollable sense of empathy. Such a shift demonstrated itself in a less prominent smile, with blue eyes more analytically critical. With one eyebrow arching curiously, it seemed that Amlugnir became the victim to the unstable tailor’s humanitarian efforts. 

He’s lying.  Remaining quiet for a period of time, an index finger to her lips signaled deeper thought. 

“You must be very lonely, to summon me,” She whispered in a surprising moment of sincerity. “Power just makes you lonelier the further you progress.” 

As if not a word was spoken, that bright smile returned and shined optimism into the dreary landscape. Practically skipping alongside her newfound company, each movement he made seemed to be the subject to analysis. 

“Why did you summon me?”

PETS: I’ve got two beagles named Skip and Katie, along with three cats (Frankie, Kismet, Annie). The cats’ breeds are a Siamese (Frankie), an orange tabby (Annie), and... Kismet’s breed is debated. Either she’s a long-haired tabby or a maine coon. The world may never know.

CATS OR DOGS: Cats! While I certainly love dogs, I am more of a cat person. Hell, sometimes I’ve been told my behavior is reminiscent to a cat, so? Ha. 

CHAPSTICK OR LIPSTICK:  I prefer the look of lipstick, but I am more likely to use chapstick on a daily basis. Especially during the winter.

FAVORITE TV SHOW: Hmm... My main brain junk-food shows are Cutthroat Kitchen and Kitchen Nightmares. Other than that, RuPaul’s Drag Race. In terms of anime, my favorite is Baccano!. Although Monster is close behind. 

FIRST FANDOM: Well! First, it was a series called DNAngel. The first fandom I actually participated in was Naruto. Circumstances got awkward and Naruto may be an uneasy topic with me, but I moved on to the DC fandom - specifically Batman. Theeeen Elder Scrolls happened. Then Gravity Falls. A little bit of Pokemon (specifically a mix of the Pokemon Adventures manga and the games). It continues to escalate, really.

First you talk to doors and now j’you cannot read a calendar.” A disappointed sigh left Iona’s lips, following her shaking her head disapprovingly. “Do not be afraid to say a thing, my lovely mage. Fear of words is common but hardly untreatable! Let alone in matters of love. Love, infatuation, and hatred all begin with a proposition. J’Your proposition is to let me see the world! ~ Oooh, we could go shopping, exploring, summon an angry Daedric Prince… The possibilities! First and foremost, J’I do believe that carpet simply must be replaced. J’It shames me by existing. As j’your date, J’I cannot let others burn their pupils with j’your… ‘dorm’, so j’you say.”

Amlugnir’s eye twitched as she rambled. “This is not a DATE!” He pointed his finger at Iona and jabbed it on her forehead. “And I know how to read. Far much better than you.” Sighing he pinched the bridge of his nose and with his free hand summoned an orb of light. “Let’s just leave this place.” So I can get you as far away from me as possible.

Before the jab even met Iona’s forehead, an instinctive flinch followed - despite the surprising vulnerability her actions hid, any truth was shrouded by a quick reverse back to a venomously cheery smile.  “Harsh. How can j’you know whether or not J’I read if one has not even seen such in action? Perhaps J’I could read tongues hidden in j’your blood, but unexplored by the restraints of nurture. Who is to say? J’I am not.” Hypnotized by the orb of light, Iona was briefly entranced by the presence. Before straightening her posture, a look of curiosity and slight alarm tightened her muscles ever-so-slightly.  “Oh! Oh! Where are we going? Are we going to find j’your soul?”

Been playing Dragon Age Inquisition lately. Upon further thought, I realized she’d seem to be perfect as a possible diplomat.  As an adviser, she tells the Inquisitor a lot about the Inquisition’s morale.  Which escalates eventually too. Considering how she’s lived through Greymarch after Greymarch (which notoriously have Jyggalag’s spies), along with a very amplified empathy, she’d be VERY sensitive to any doubt. Any.  Meaning? My bby would unintentionally start a war from within the Inquisition. Among it’s members.
