What inspired your look today? Oscar de la Renta, of course! I was part of a small team that was responsible for mounting the costumes in Oscar de la Renta. As I worked closely with the garments, I developed a deeper appreciation for de la Renta’s design aesthetic, particularly his use of sumptuous fabrics. I tried to evoke some of his figured floral textiles in this ensemble.
How will this exhibition inspire your style in the future? As a native New Yorker, I tend to stick to black, navy, and gray. De la Renta’s love of color and pattern has inspired me to brighten up my wardrobe.
What was your favorite ensemble in the exhibition? I have a unique perspective on Oscar de la Renta because I had the privilege of seeing each costume inside and out. I most appreciate the little details one finds in the clothes that he designed for close friends and family members, like delicate lace trims on corsets or meticulously fabric-covered interior buttons.

What inspired your look that day? Saint Patrick's Day
How will this exhibition inspire your style in the future? When I think Oscar, I think classic, feminine, and ornate, and so all of those fabulous elements altogether I think make for a pretty good inspiration on a day to day basis.
What was your favorite ensemble in the exhibition? I loved the Spanish looks that were very bullfighter but Taylor Swift's Met Gala gown is a definite favorite for obvious reasons!

What inspired your look today: We wanted to compliment each other’s look.
How will this exhibition inspire your style in the future? Chelsea: It reminds me to get dressed up every day. People cared more back then.
Jonathan: I agree, people don’t take advantage of dressing up like they used to.
What was your favorite ensemble in the exhibition? Chelsea: The black lace Spanish flamenco dress with the hat.
Jonathan: The black velvet [Oscar de la Renta for Pierre Balmain] piece. There’s just something about velvet. I’d drape myself in it.

What inspired your look today? Alex: This blazer is Oscar from... I don’t even want to tell you the year! I think it’s from around the time he moved to Balmain. I thought green for spring. It has a matching skirt but I wanted to wear flats today to walk around. The scarf is Hermes.
Marilyn: Gucci. And the pants are Armani. I like white for spring.
What are you looking forward to seeing in the exhibition? Alex: Showing Marilyn the exhibit! And the classic beauty and timeless design.

What inspired your look today? I decided to wear my Juun. J blue and white stripped shirt that I paired with Oak + Fort white pants and my Acne Studios article. I knew I was going stroll at Golden Gate Park when I did my packing, so naturally I brought my white Chanel boy bag with red rose embellishment from Fall 2012.
How will this exhibition inspire your style in the future? It allows me to be more versatile and open minded when I look for inspiration. The world is constantly changing. Look beyond what your eyes can see.
What was your favorite ensemble in the exhibition? The dress Sarah Jessica Parker wore to the Met is one of my favorite dresses of all time!
