So. Who am I? I’m an average 35 year old male. Very happily married, father of 2 beautiful boys, Australian male.

How did I get here?

From eating too much junk and not exercising, you may ask? Correct would be the answer to that question.

Why blog about it

There are blogs about love affairs with My Little Pony by grown men (not that there's anything wrong with that). So why not this one?

What will this blog be about and who is it for?

This is going to be about the how, why, what, where...and why.. of Diabetes type 2 (or the BIGD or BD, or Big Diddy...ok not Big Diddy). Let’s be honest, guys don’t like talking about going to the doctor when they have the sniffles, let alone when it’s something really important. I can’t even call it by it’s real name for Pete’s sake. So we are gonna sit down like adults and talk about it ok!

More than anything, this blog will be about my “journey” (god I hate that word) and the good the bad and everything in between in relation to the BIGD.

So relax, grab a sugar free coke, and let’s talk about how we eat garbage and don’t move enough.
