Columbina acts as though she is above and better than all ‘normal’ people living in Teyvat. She treats them and acts towards them as if they are silly little things who don’t really understand the world around them or what true power is.

In reality, Columbina is jealous of them. So jealous it feels like the envy consumes her at times. To be able to originate from and grow in a world of light, surrounded by others exactly like them who can feel and love and reciprocate these feelings that she’s never been able to experience before. Her whole reason for climbing out of the abyss was to have what they have , but even after doing so it’s still not the same.

Truthfully , she loves the way humans operate. The way they are. The way they feel things. She loves that , she wants to be like that. But she can’t. Or she feels like she can’t. Or like doing so would make her lesser. So she hates them , spends every day amongst them , observes them , and on occasion consumes them in hopes that she can become more like them while remaining the same.

Columbina is either the kid who says ‘ A KNIFE! ’ and immediately hits mach speed in an attempt to make use of said knife or the begrudging parental figure who goes ‘ N O ’ and scrambles after the other fatui child and there is no in between.

Human experimentation then ? Alive or already deceased upon transmutation , she wondered. And were they dead , by what means ? After all , she doubted it would be all that easy to get ahold of fresh , human organs for such frivolous usage.

Still , having crafted her own humanoid structure , she could appreciate one who took interest in bodily complexities , “ It certainly is. Care to share the contents of your little experiments , dear ? Or is that information confidential ? ”

Columbina’s humanoid appearance has tidbits of her true nature attached (The ears and tail,) her original form is that of a fox like eldritch monstrosity. During combat , though she prefers making use of the vision gifted to her by the tsaritsa , Columbina may resort to using gigantic ghastly claws and teeth as weapons. This is rare however , and a sight few live to tell about.

Some things about Columbina that I’ll eventually put in her actual doc.

* Definitely not human. Likes to give strange , cryptic answers when asked about this.

* Has a long list of alternate aliases.

* Extremely difficult to work with due to : Blatant refusal to work if she dislikes you , being extremely quick to anger / trigger happy , will get so caught up in bickering and bantering with her partners that she’ll forgo actual missions.

* One of , if not , the most wealthy of the harbingers. Likes to flaunt her money / use it to get her way. Has created another system of currency which she’s used to subjugate smaller territories after they become reliant on it. (Grand plan is to have her currency overtake mora entirely.)

* Works smarter not harder. Surprising lazy streak.

*Enjoys going along with things for the sake of entertainment even if it goes directly against her mission.

* The equivalent of the Fatui’s treasurer.

* Cryo catalyst user. Has specially crafted catalyst weapon (conveniently gun shaped.)

* Craves constant attention whether positive or negative , and enjoys causing problems in order to get it.

* One of the Fatui’s most major information brokers. Constantly traveling.
