i painted this in 2024 after going to japan for the first time. the canvas had a different unfinished painting on it that i decided to cover up because i only had a few canvases back then and i didn’t know canvas pads existed yet lol

this particular artwork has actually been up on my blog for months. this is also not the first time i painted this scene that i randomly found on pinterest. i made and oil painting version back in 2024 which is still hanging in my living room.

you may be wondering why i haven’t posted in months. i have been quite busy as i returned to college full-time on top of my ongoing commissions (traditional and digital). now, i may still be working on my new commission sheet, but i have not stopped accepting commissions. just send me a message for inquiries!

Well, its counterpart is done now and it's lovely 🥰

James, sweet, thoughtful young man that he is!

And yes, I asked particularly for it to match the other one and ooooh it worked out perfectly. I'm in love!

Technically, this scene never appeared in Beer, but I can absolutely see that it could/would have happened.

Really, it's amazing and once again I can thank the wonderfully talented @dianapaintss for bringing this moment to life! It was a pleasure!
