Hey.
Oh. Hello.
You’re back from your trip. How was it?
jeffreyphilipsaltman:
“I found myself staring at her for three whole hours yesterday. I’m sorry, my love, but I think she may have usurped you for the most beautiful woman in my life.”
I am quite alright with that. She’s divine.
She’s so lovely.
jeffreyphilipsaltman:
“Not to put too fine a point on it, but your name has sway too. Besides, Prevost is a beautiful name.”
My name doesn’t have a criminal record. And yes. Yes it is. Glad we’re in agreement.
jeffreyphilipsaltman:
“Not that name conversation, the surname conversation. I think you’re right, I think we should double barrel it. Not a half me, half you thing, but a sign. Everything I am and everything you are, is this child.”
Oh, oui. Hyphenated is probably going to serve her best with all of your controversy surrounding everything. We don’t want her to be haunted by things that occurred before she was even born. Prevost-Saltman.
jeffreyphilipsaltman:
“And here I assumed you weren’t afraid of a little pressure.”
“Have we considered the name conversation again?”
I’m still sticking by Gemma. I don’t care how many different ways you want to argue family legacy, Gemma is a beautiful name and I want her to feel some of her French heritage while growing up here.
jeffreyphilipsaltman:
“You still look adorable, and if anything it makes you twice as threatening.”
Well, if that’s the case. I just wish she’d stop pushing so hard on my pelvic bone.
jeffreyphilipsaltman
“Because….?”
Because I would really like not to be swollen anymore.
jeffreyphilipsaltman:
“Oh, it’s you.”
Morgan delivered and I have to say I’m jealous.
Hi Diane, I'm leaving you this message on behalf of Wesley. He's on vacation for a month or so and wanted me to let you know you've been promoted to junior partner. He's had a corner office on the other side of the floor cleared for you.
Oh my god! I accept and send my regards. Finalement, quelques bonnes nouvelles foutues!
w-alexander:
So it is his? If you want to quit and decide what I can and cannot do without giving me the fucking chance, then fine. I hope Jeff’s a better father than he’s been a husband. Really, I do.
I should go.
Yes, you should. I’m sorry, Wesley. Be safe.
w-alexander:
You can hate it all you want, but you know it’s true.
You’re a hard worker, you’ve kept your nose clean, you’re smart as hell, and you have every capability of rising to the top, fast. Absolutely no one would blame you for serving him with papers now. So why, Diane? Why are you still with him?
Because we deserve each other. He’s an idiot and a bastard, yes. But I am not a pure woman, Wesley. I have made decisions. I have told my share of lies. I am successful because I don’t care who I step on. Someone like you deserves far better than me to come to at the end of the day. I’m that bitch. It’s who I am and who I will always be, because I like it. And without me, Jeffrey has no one who can tolerate, let alone love, him. Equally, no one will ever understand me quite as well as he will either. You are everything I once wanted. You’re the idealized man. But you haven’t even had a taste of what’s in me yet, Wes. And I don’t believe you could handle it. So choosing him for who he is is choosing me for who I am. And I’m sorry. But I’m standing by what I know, and I want my child to have her father anyway.
w-alexander:
Because that mattered to you so much every time we had one of our late nights, right? You were so satisfied being his wife, you came running to me. You’re better than he is. He didn’t deserve you then, and he certainly doesn’t deserve you now.
You are out of line, Alexander.
w-alexander:
Hey, we wouldn’t have hired her if she weren’t a damn good lawyer. It looks like your husband really dug himself a nice, deep grave though. The firm will be fine. Your husband isn’t the first high profile client we’ve had.
I care more about you, frankly. So you’re sticking by him? After all this? Did you know this about him?
Of course I’m sticking by him. I’m his wife. I knew enough. I know who the I married is though, and so I’m going to help him fight past this. no matter what those idiots on camera say.
w-alexander:
I wanted to give you some space to get things sorted, but I had to see how you were.
All the stuff that’s been in the news…..I’ve been worried about you, Di.
It’s been a mess internally for us, but we’ve been making serious headway legally. Now that Jeffrey’s allowed me to be hands on again, that is. Honestly, I could kill Morgan. I knew she wasn’t up for this. Wesley, this is so embarrassing. Such bad press for the firm and just terrible form, really. I hate this.
Thank you for checking in. It’s very considerate of you.
vittoria-a:
“Well it doesn’t pander to the caucasian one percent, so that must be different for your viewing habits.”
You’re confusing my demographic. I’m a millennial immigrant, Vittoria, and I always will be. One percent or not, I still know when a country’s gone to the birds. Think what you’d like about my views, but I may be a bit more open-minded than you realize.
w-alexander:
Diane? How are you?
Oh, Wesley, it’s you. Come in, before anyone tries to take a photo. They’ve been at it all week and the lack of privacy is atrocious and... I don’t know how we let it get here. It wasn’t supposed to get to this point.
