Drifter #1 from ‘H as in Harvest of a quiet Eye‘
for ‘Glossary of undisciplined Design’ symposium @ Galerie für zeitgenössische Kunst, Leipzig
With your quiet eye you look at what is not in focus, but in your field of vision, while absorbing something. It enriches moments of concentration, through the brief digression of your gaze. A few small thoughts about things or people pass through your head, only to return with a fresh eye to what you are actually doing.
What you take in these moments is subtly influenced by the ‚Harvest of a quiet Eye‘: It will always self-consciously manifest the conscious incompleteness and uncertain truth of your work.
