Di & Alex- 1st meeting
The eye roll was a perfect sign that Dianna was not only comfortable by his presence, but enjoying it as well, making the blonde man feel good about himself at this right moment. No matter how long it passed, he still managed to make her laugh at his stupid words after all. But above all else, she still was capable of being comfortable in his presence even when they were surrounded by others, a bit like how things were when they were still together, so perhaps there was still hope for any kind of relationship between them.
"Hey, you know I never said no to that kind of stuff, but this is a pretty public place and I don’t think you’d be all up to everyone seeing your arse on the first page tomorrow morning," he grinned, mimicking the grin she had on her lips knowing that he probably took this little joke a bit too much, but it would be worth her reaction, that’s for sure. Her laugh was like music to his ears. After all those years, not a single girl he dated had a good, honest laugh like her. And like always, it simply was like a trigger to his making the man laugh as well.
The look she gave him as soon as he mentioned being alone wasn’t ignored. It was almost like she was expecting him to be dating right about this second, even though he was just by himself and pretty much said he was only there for the appearances. Doesn’t she check the tabloids like he do sometimes?
The touch of her finger on his cheek sent shivers down his spine, making Alex stand a bit straight as he kept his trained eyes on her perfect face, trying not to let it shown how affected he still was by her presence and touch. “Trust me, Blondie. If I was a zombie after your brains you probably wouldn’t be standing right here, especially since I know how good your brain can be,” he smiled licking his lips wondering if she would take that as the compliment he thought he would be making. “I guess some things will never change,” he snorted shaking his head. “Burgers and fries sound pretty good to me. How do you wanna do this by the way?” Alex had no idea if Dianna was in the mood to be seen leaving the party by his side, so it was better talk about it before they were hot news tomorrow morning.
First reaction? Pearly whites tugged at a lower lip while still managing a smile as those lovely green eyes looked off to the side, the former Glee starlet's cheeks a lovely shade of crimson. She couldn't believe he went there or maybe she could but still... In Dianna's mind he was with someone and their time together was fleeting even if he planned on taking her somewhere for a burger. Why was she having so much trouble wrapping her head around the idea of Alex being single and willing to have more burgers with her in the future? Perhaps it was the idea of it all ending for a second time but what was life without taking risks? Playing it safe never got her anywhere and so, the blushing blonde shook her head at him. "I'd call you terrible but you're just looking out for me, right?" she teased, her eyes finally back on him. "So thank you for..." Pausing, Di cleared her throat and leaned in, closing the gap between them. "Protecting my...arse," she whispered by his ear and took a step back.
Mere minutes after meeting Alex, the temperature in the room had gone up a million degrees. She needed some fresh air but knowing him, that probably wouldn't do her any good. He would just end up doing something else to cause a reaction that left her speechless for at least a few minutes. It was a talent of his that everyone else after him seemed to lack. Dianna cared about the men she dated and even dared to say that at one point loved some of them but they always lacked something. Alex was the only one who had it all, but she'd been a pro at tossing that bit of info to the side and burying it where she would never look until now. There was no stopping all those memories from coming back and in truth, she didn't want to. The whole thing felt too good to end.
"You really think I would go down that easily? I've gotten tougher, Mister Pettyfer," she stated as if it were a matter of fact. "Hey. You don't go messing with perfection unless you want to add a slice of cake to that." She then took a moment to process what Alex said next. How did she want to handle this? Pictures were bound to get out at some point and then people would start hurling their opinions down her throat... Wouldn't it be best to hide any hint of something for now? No. She hadn't bothered doing that for a long time, so in a move that she considered rather bold, Dianna moved to his side and took hold of Alex's arm. "I just need text my friend and let her know I'm leaving with someone but I'll do that when we're in the car."
Di & Alex- 1st meeting
As Alex stood there in front of her, it was almost like time hasn’t passed by and they were back to where they left, two young actors trying to figure out what to do with their life while fighting to have a normal relationship like everybody else. As he looked at the woman standing in front of me he could see how much she changed but yet how much she was still the same Dianna he knew, with that classic glow around her and caring heart she always showed him, making the man miss the old days more than he thought he could.
He didn’t know why she felt like speaking with him now since after all those years they never really spoke to one another even when they bumped into one another occasionally, so this whole situation was new and intriguing to the man.
"Food? I think that’s what they always want us to believe. I haven’t seen anything eatable every since I put my foot in here. I think you are delusional." He teased, offering her a small grin. If there was one thing Alex knew very well was how hungry Dianna always managed to get in parties and events like this one, she never ate before which lead to her always eating something during the events or him rushing her out of it later to go grab a burger before going home. And by the look on her face, he could tell she was starving right about this second. Her laughs were a sign that she was easing into their conversation to the point of feeling comfortable by being in his presence, something he himself was feeling too.
As Dianna mentioned bumping into some friends and himself, Alex couldn’t help but smile softly at her. She always had a way of making him feel special, no matter what. “You never change, always bumping into people in those events, you are never alone, not much like me, the lonely wolf.” He softly said bumping his shoulder along hers. The silence they fell in was somewhat welcoming and at the same time intriguing, almost like Dianna was waiting for something or someone to happen or interrupt both of them. Which never happened. “You know, this party was more for me to show up, people see that I am still alive and all of that. I’m thinking about getting the hell out of here. Wanna go do something else? Maybe go grab something to eat?”
Jokingly, big green eyes were rolled at Alex's remark about being delusional. He was always such a tease and to be honest, she welcomed that kind of behavior from him. It took a situation that could've been awkward and turned it into something that made them both enjoy the other person's company. Simply put, they went well together even when the public was rooting for her to be with someone completely different. They just failed to see moments like this when Alex could really get her face to light up.
"Hmmm. Maybe you're right... You are starting to look pretty tasty," she said with a wicked little grin pulling at her lips. "Better watch out. I'll either take a bite or search you for candy." The sound of her laugh once again could be heard and was a true testament to how much fun Dianna was having with him. It almost made her feel like a fool for having avoided this kind of situation with Alex for such a long time. Talk about a waste but on the bright side, Di had finally made a move and they were going somewhere with this until his girlfriend showed up.
Lonely wolf? She couldn't help the surprised look on her face when Alex called himself that. Didn't he have someone with him? Did this mean he was alone as well or was he just teasing her? No... He liked to joke around but even he knew it would've been cruel to make fun of her for not having a date. Dianna then shook herself away from those thoughts. She was thinking way too much about it and knew it would only make her feel awkward when there was no reason for it.
"Before I go anywhere with you..." Di paused, playfully giving his cheek a little poke with her finger. "Yeah, just making sure you're alive and not some kind of zombie in disguise out for my brains." A nod was then given as she felt his warm skin for that all too brief second. "Looks like you're safe, so I'd love to get some food with you. Maybe burgers and fries?" Yup, the food of red carpet champions. Dianna always did have a soft spot for those two things.
Di & Alex- 1st meeting
Alex was never a really fan of this kind of parties, in fact, he hardly went to them, only going whenever he was forced to by his manager. ‘Appearances are good for you, boy.’ He said, ‘You have to show your face so they still know you’re out on the market’, he constantly said whenever he tried to convince the young actor into going, which worked like a charm every single time. Alex normally didn’t go alone to those events, he would either bring his brother if he was in town or his current girlfriend, but seeing he and Marloes broke up not long ago, he didn’t feel like bringing any random woman just to get his name on the tabloids again. He may be older, but he was still the same man that hated being the center of attention for unnecessary subjects.
He didn’t mind the looks he was getting, in fact, he even liked the fact that everyone was surprised with him being at the party, no one never expect him showing up to be honest. He did everything he was supposed to, dressed on a nice suit, he posed for the photos at the red carpet, talked to the ones he had to talk, and stayed at an eye view, this way everyone would know he was there and was available to the talking. No one really seemed to bother with him, and to be honest, he didn’t feel like trying too much anyway. Deciding to just stay for a few hours to keep a certain image and leave, Alex headed to the bar to get a beer to help him pass his time when he finally saw her.
Dianna Agron was the only girl that actually made him feel something more than the necessity of being in a relationship. Starting their relationship with second thoughts, the man had never been happier as he was during the months he spent by her side and after their break up, that the whole media was good at making it worse than it really was, he never saw or even dared to speak to her. But here they were, for the first time in years at the same party piratically facing one another with no clue of what to do. Alex knew how much she tried to not be in the same environment as him and to be honest, he was glad that she had moved on and seemed happy with her other relationships, for all he knew she was still dating that Australian actor, who he hadn’t seen her with right now.
Deciding to let her take charge of it, he just stood there with his beer in hand watching as she slowly approached him with a little uncertain look on her face making him wonder if she was only doing this to be polite or if she actually wanted to. Without having enough to time decide, Dianna was in front of him in a matter of seconds with that beautiful smile of her, speaking on the cheerful voice he knew all to well. “Hello,” he greeted back offering her a small smile. “I wouldn’t call it having fun, but it is not bad. How are you?”
She smirked. Dianna knew quite well how much Alex had a habit of going with the low key scene over the party world. He simply wasn't the type who enjoyed going out every night and walking around in a drunken stupor, or at least that's what she remembered. People did change over time and right now a brand new man could've been standing right in front of her. A complete stranger, if you will. However, his reply along with that look on his face... Well, it was as if Di had gone back to a point in time where they were just two kids trying to figure out how to deal with life while holding onto one another.
Wait a second. She was still trying to do that first part. 28 and forever lost. A lot of people would be shaking their heads at her but she learned to ignore them most of the time. However, there were always going to be those days when Dianna didn't have the strength to stand up to all those opinions and as a result, she would end up questioning every little decision made. It was a weakness and one the blonde continuously worked on.
Luckily, there was no one around to hinder her decision to go say hello to an ex boyfriend. "At least there's food...somewhere," she laughed, shrugging her shoulders while wishing she had grabbed something before coming. It was always annoying showing up to one of these things with an empty stomach but no one wanted to walk around bloated either. "I don't know. I thought I saw a guy walking around with a tray of weird things somewhere but he disappeared." Another laugh and she was easing right into their little conversation. Things felt...comfortable.
"I'm still having a pretty good time, though. You know, ran into a few friends and found you. " There she was putting her bright spin on things. For a minute there she felt like he might laugh at her for it or at least make up some excuse to get away from her. His girlfriend was probably fixing her makeup in the bathroom or something. With that thought, Di decided not to say anything more. Here was his chance to make an exit from the conversation if that's what he wanted. She wouldn't force him to stick around but in all honesty, she really wanted this moment with him. Something was going on. Old memories surfacing along with feelings? Who knew?
Di & Alex- 1st meeting
Everyone wore such a lovely smile to these events and Dianna was no different. Her lips curled upward for a cute little smirk as she navigated the room after having parted with her friend. Georgie, someone Di felt like she'd known forever, decided to join her tonight and as an added bonus she did her makeup. Life always did have a funny way of working out when you tried to be genuinely nice to people. However, it didn't exactly land you a boyfriend... What a perfect way to start the new year. Single. For a brief moment Di's smile faltered and she let out a sigh before catching herself. It wasn't that she needed the constant attention of a boyfriend but at the same time it was nice to have that kind of love in her life. It had been a few months since her last relationship and already she was starting to miss it while taking note of the couples around herself. Everyone seemed so happy together but that was how things were in public. Any cheating or fights was usually covered up. However, Dianna refused to let herself dwell on the negative. Not everyone was a bad person. There was good everywhere and with that, she brushed back a stray strand of blonde hair before bumping into a photographer she knew from a photoshoot way back.
"It's great to see you!" she exclaimed, her arms immediately wrapping around the friend for a warm embrace before parting. The conversation lasted almost twenty minutes, which wasn't out of the norm for Di. Once she got ahold of someone, she became invested in the conversation. A geunine interest was taken and that's how she created all her friendships. Life was too short to make only surface friends.
Feeling rather hungry, Dianna decided to find a waiter. She noticed a few of them roaming the event with various goodies on their trays. However, as her luck would have it, there were none in sight. Maybe it was time to run out to the nearest fast food joint and grab a burger? She laughed to herself at thought and as quickly as that grin appeared on her face, it was gone just as fast. Her stomach did a flip and then a million more. Suddenly those rosy cheeks were now pale and she was left standing there with green eyes wide open. Alex. It had been almost a year since the last time they attended the same event together and back then she lacked the courage for words. Such a coward. "Not again," the blonde mumbled under her breath.
Slowly, very slowly Dianna approached her former love and did her best to maintain a small smile on her face. After all, it wasn't like they hated one another. The two hadn't parted on horrible terms, though the gossip blogs would have everyone believe different. No, it was all... She didn't know how to describe the end of their relationship but there was the urge to reach out to him. Maybe this was all thanks to a new year and the desire to be even stronger, braver than she was in 2014. Whatever it was, Di was suddenly standing right in front of Alex and for a few seconds couldn't find any words. She just remained in front of him and finally something happened. "Hi..." she began, biting a lower lip. "You look like you're having fun! How's everything?"
If only I had his moves.

I'm looking for a Sam or Chord to do a 1x1 Fabrevans or Overgron rp. However, I'm not opposed to joining somewhere. I do have a few ideas, so send me a message if you'd like to discuss anything! I'm pretty active and willing to exchange writing samples if asked. Also, I'm fine with picking up after last night's episode or picking an earlier starting point. AU ideas are also welcome.
Pettygron anyone? I'd love an Alex for my Dianna. Drop me a note if you're interested and we can exchange ideas. I would also be up for something Glee since I play Quinn Fabray as well.
Hi! I’m a Dianna Agron & Quinn Fabray (twins as well) player looking for either some 1x1’s or perhaps a group to join? My main ships are overgron and pettygron for Dianna, so it shouldn’t be a surprise that I’m a Fabrevans fans! I’d also love to find a Biff for my Quinn.
If you’re interested in writing together, then just send a sample of your writing along with any plot ideas that you might have! Don’t have any plot ideas? I’ll be working on some later on in the day.
