The living room was quiet, save for the soft rustle of plastic as Emily unfolded the thick, white diaper. Her older sister, Claire, lay on the couch, her cheeks flushed with embarrassment, a pacifier bobbing gently in her mouth.
“Come on, Claire,” Emily said, her voice teasing but gentle. “Don’t you want to play Mommy and Baby? You used to love this when we were kids.”
Claire groaned around the pacifier, her eyes darting away.
“I’m 24, Em. You’re 21. Shouldn’t we be, I don’t know, out dating or something? Maybe even… having actual sex with guys?”
Emily just giggled, shaking her head as she slid the diaper under Claire’s hips.
“Sex is overrated. This is way more fun. Besides, you’re the one who agreed to this. Now hold still.”
Claire sighed, her body tense as Emily taped the diaper snugly around her waist. The thick padding pressed against her skin, and she couldn’t help but squirm.
“There,” Emily said, patting the front of the diaper. “All done. My little baby sister.”
Claire’s face turned even redder.
“I’m older than you, remember?”
Emily just smirked, leaning down to adjust the pacifier in Claire’s mouth.
“Not right now, you’re not. Right now, you’re my baby. And babies don’t talk back.”
Claire rolled her eyes but didn’t argue. She lay there, the diaper crinkling softly with every movement, her mind racing. This was ridiculous. Absolutely ridiculous. But as she glanced at Emily’s playful smile, she couldn’t help but feel a strange sense of comfort. Maybe, just maybe, it wasn’t so bad to let go and be the baby for once.
