ugly me

i spread my lips sideways,

crooked teeth appeared,

my cheeks distorted,

uneven lines over my face deepened,

eyes sizened,

others' looked away at the sight,

left behind in an air of misery

I smiled.

oh to be understood...

my eyes show the truth, can you read it?

how about i look your way?

how about i sit by you?

how about i whisper in your ear?

would you understand?

the dust and the dark caress me, as i hide from the world

only to reveal myself

strip myself bare,

collect everything in my eyes, but never to speak

and show them to you.

cut in half,

sucking in dust,

fluttering and flattering,

begging to live-

but not.
