Wishful Thinking
I'm sure no one is going to read this so I'm just going to do this to vent. I'm sure everyone's always advised to be who you are and never to be who you aren't just to be cool. Well, high school is a total failure for taking this advice. I'm sure there's like that 100 out of the 6,000 kids that are unique and be who they want to be even if that means they're a little odd. At Least they know who they are. When did the definition of "cool" mean be a total jackass to teachers all day and smoke weed before and after school? My definition of a cool person is someone who is different and has total confident of themselves and is a role model to the community. If any kids in my forensics class (filled with "cool" people) ever read this, they'd probably say "oh that nerdy Asian girl is just jealous that she doesn't go to cool parties and have friends like we do!" Yep. I'm awfully jealous of your police records that are evidence to your douchebaggery and your "bro hoe swag" clothes.
I love dreaming that my generation could actually make something of this world and create a sufficient lifestyle, but every time I walk through the halls and look around...my dreams fade. I know most of them are just in that teenage phase (which i got over in freshmen year) but I'm just impatiently waiting for all of them to LOOK differently and ACT differently. Also, since we're on looks, most of you girls can't pull off the red hair look...it just makes you all look the same.. like last years trend when everybody bleached their hair and made everyone of you girls look like clones.
I really wish I could understand these kids... do they really think they're cool and badass for talking back to the teacher and saying "yehh fuk dat shyitt im not doin mah homework." Okay, teachers are here to help you and maybe they pick on you is because they're tired of your shit. I would be too. The teachers that have been here the longest that you think is a "bitch" are one of the strongest people I've ever met to babysit you asshole kids daily. I just really hate disrespect.
I wish these kids could realize that "#YOLO" doesn't mean get drunk and high every weekend; it just ruins their chances of ever being useful to society. Fortunately, "a balanced society needs bums" - Mr. Stewart. Yeah, I can't wait to see you as a greeter at Wal-mart. No, never mind, I probably don't wanna be greeted with someone that has a hole in their neck from smoking.
To: the white girls
WHY DO YOU WANT TO PURPOSELY TAN YOUR NATURALLY CREAMY SKIN? You're are so stupid if you think a tan that could make snooki proud is actually hot. Have you heard of skin cancer? Rarely kills you but leaves you with unattractive scars and discoloration. Oh and if you think you can cover it up with makeup then guess again cake face. Foundation and makeup overall is bad for your skin. (Guilty of eye make up, but Asians look young forever.)
I really hate hurting others feelings but I'm saying all this because I care. I think if you stop everything that good adult figures think is wrong, you will have such a great chance to do anything you want to.
Everybody is destined to be successful and to make something out of themselves. Of course, we're going to take the wrong path sometimes but what matters the most is that you get back on the right path.
My words may not make a difference but if I ever find out that you became a great role model to someone (maybe to everyone one day), I''d be so proud to have ever been in the same school as you.
