Moving!

Elisabluh-fr is about to be no more, in favor of a more general elisablogging. This will cover all the petsites/videogames I feel like posting about, as well as Homestuck and HtTYD because I’m fandom trash. Here’s a link, and I’ll give you nerds ~24 hours to unfollow here/refollow there (if you want, maybe this is your chance to be free of me) before this one goes inactive. (By inactive, i mean it will still exist for mostly “night furies” reference, but it will also die.)

Hi there, I'm an ex-friend of Mackledaddy's. We fell out not long after they got into FR, but I can confirm they have multiple accounts. I can't remember for the life of me the name or ID, but I know they have at least one more. They actually offered me a second/jointed one as well, but I declined. So they're not new to shady practices.

Well, unless you have any proof, I’m going to have to put my personal label of “may or might be true” on this. Sorry, but literally anyone could have sent this with any amount of truth… so, I’m not calling you a liar or anything, I just can’t really condone this kind of message.I know this is a response to the perfect storm (get it, three storms, hehe) situation but it’s not really related, and I know I’ve been a voice in that situation so I understand why I get asks related to it, but this isn’t really directly related to that, and I’d really rather not be a medium for random player-related angst in the future. (PS to everyone: I would rather not continue to receive information/asks about Mackledaddy and/or Disease unless it directly relates to the situation with the triple storm gen1 scam; I don’t know anything about those players and I honestly don’t care about them, either; my irritation is with their actions in this specific situation, not their persons or anything else they might be doing, however wrong those things may be. [though, I don’t doubt it takes a special kind of asshole to scam people on petsites, lol])Just remember y'all, this is my personal FR Tumblr, not a gossip blog (except regarding the gossipy situations I choose to involve myself in, of course)! Hahahaha. One of their lackies reported me for harassing them. I never called them any names, never said anything cruel. I simply stated it was unfortunate and that the way they went about it wasn't right. (The person who reported me has three friends, and mackledaddy and Disease are 2 of them)

So is anyone going to talk about the New Years secret santa organizers blackmailing a user who hatched a triple storm gen1 from an egg she got from them into giving it back to them for free? They decided weeks after we all gave them our stuff to impose a new rule saying no one’s allowed to do any…

She didn’t contribute any items to the item pool. She broke the biggest rule of the exchange. She was given the gifts by mistake because she fraudulently signed up. She’s very lucky that he was nice enough to send her some expensive scrolls to reward her for doing the right thing and returning the items she had no right to in the first place. Did you actually do any research before just assuming you know everything about the situation?

Also, they’ve since explained a whole bunch since then that everyone else who got stuff can do what they want with them. The reason she was treated differently is because she was sent the gifts by mistake, and despite knowing she hadn’t contributed anything to the item pool (the entire point of the exchange), she turned around and tried to sell the items. She gamed the exchange. Maybe she did it accidentally, but it’s still what happened.

I can’t believe there are still people defending these shitstains.

It makes no difference whether she didn’t contribute or not. It makes no difference whether not reselling was part of the rules or not.

Like, how do you even see that as a valid excuse for what they did? Even if she didn’t donate (and thus broke the raffle rules), it’s on them as the raffle organizers to catch this and not send people rewards if they entered incorrectly. Especially if those items are worth a decent amount of treasure! And quite honestly, it seems to be in question whether she did cheat the raffle or not. Regardless, it was their mistake. The most they could ask for was for the egg (or the value of the egg) back. (And even then, she would have been within her rights to decline, since once you give someone something, it is theirs to do with as they wish.) NOT a triple that they knew was worth much more than any egg they had given her.

Not to mention the first day of this whole drama their argument was the whole “no reselling items!!” thing which makes no sense, since she didn’t resell her egg, she hatched it, like normal people are wont to do. Of course, that argument holds no water, so now it’s all “wah wah she cheated our raffle so we totally deserved to ask her for something worth 50x what we gave her!”

edit: and also, part of the original argument was “we gave her replacement scrolls because that’s what she said she actually wanted!” (*coughcough* to shut her up) which makes no sense if she had entered the raffle incorrectly. What the fuck even?

How can you blame them for not catching the mistake in the first place and sending it to her, then not hold her responsible for making the choice to send the dragon back? She was given a choice and she made it, yet everyone is ignoring this. You have to apply your argument to both parties. If she decided to send the dragon back, then they can do whatever they want with it, and they did something selfless and generous with it. You are completely blind to her responsibility in this. 

Also, there’s no debate. She did cheat the exchange. She’s admitted as much. She knows she’s in the wrong here and is still presenting a biased version of the story which shirks her responsibility in it.

She made the decision to send the dragon back (because she knew it was the right thing to do), and she needs to grow up and live with her choice.

Also, I’m not either of them, and it’s pretty pathetic that you can’t be confronted with an argument that opposes your own without having to assume that. I don’t give a fuck who you think I am. It’s about time somebody stood up for these two and held her responsible for her choices.

Christ, you’re super fucking dense. There’s a reason my argument includes “even if she didn’t contribute” scenario because it makes no difference. The organizers chose to send out items to people who had improperly entered the raffle/broken the rules - it’s on them to catch it. What you’re conveniently ignoring is that they had no right to demand an item back worth 50+ times what they gave her. The egg or value of the egg? They could ask for it back, but even then, they had no right to that, either, because they’re the ones that made the mistake in the first place and it could have been easily prevented.

Oh, and the whole “she chose to give it back” argument? Haha, please. Yes, she did. She seems to be a relatively new player who was bullied with harsh language and threats of expulsion/blacklisting (which, by the way, is not allowed, which is why I suspect disease may have been suspended) from the raffle. I agree that none of this would have happened if she had just told them to (rightfully) fuck off, but it’s despicable that they even attempted (and succeeded!) to strongarm something 50x the value of what was originally given to her.

Hi! I was part of the raffle giveaway thing and I'm really confused. Could you please explain? I've gotten bits and pieces of it. It makes sense about Disease though. I rented a nest from them and they basically bullied me into letting them have the one dragon I wanted from the nest of my dragons.

Here’s what I’ve responded before: "Long story cut VERY short: Disease and mackledaddy, two raffle organizers, gave out an unhatched egg as a prize for their raffle, and the winner hatched it, triple with matching eyes, and decided to sell it for sweet profits. Disease and mackledaddy decided that, hey, suddenly, that’s against the rules of the raffle we just made up and didn’t have before, so they strongarmed the user into giving them the dragon with threats of exclusion and drama, and the dragon is now being sold on the AH for 4 millionT. Basically, “Here’s a gift! Wait, that’s way more valuable than I thought it was! GIVE IT BACK OR ELSE!”Disease and mackledaddy insist their innocence but it’s pretty obvious they’re not.”Ewww, seriously? I don’t like to spread around rumors about personality based on a couple things here and there… but… ehhh a trend is a trend. »’ I’m sorry that happened to you. :(

I feel like they don’t realize that nobody gives a crap about anything else besides the fact that they and Disease scammed her out of her dragon. .___.They gave her the egg, and if they gave her the egg without contributing to the event that’s their problem, what they did is still wrong, so… *SIGH*

I saw an ask from someone who hasn't gotten their stuff yet and I just want to let people know that I'm a fireworker in this giveaway/raffle and that we're getting to everyone, I promise. We're just a bit slow b/c the sheer amount of people/items we need to send out. Its unfortunate what happened earlier, but I can tell you it's not the intent of myself or the other fireworkers to scam you out of items. We got slowed down by the drama, but gifts are still being distributed. :)

I read all the screenshots and related posts to this scamming drama but I would like to see the new year's giving thread's (or w/e) rules? did someone get a screenshot of that before it was possibly editing after the incident (and also of the auctions involved)? :o just so i can tie the whole situation together with all the pieces.

I don’t have any screenshots, myself, except what has been posted here (which was like, just that one post of messages), because if there’s one thing I have almost none of, it’s foresight, lol. I just read the things as they happened, and always forget that cowards enjoy deleting their threads. You can probably find them somewhere else on the tag, or on either DramaRising later, or other Tumblrs. I’m sorry!

Okay, I was part of that raffle, and I can explain in detail how that person was not scammed, how they got that sprite and egg from the raffle, and are basically slandering two older members of the community who are well-trusted. :/ I was part of the raffle, I knew the rules, and the person broke several of them.

I read your responses and I reject them. The rules were added after-the-fact and there are screenshots out there that prove that. It doesn’t matter if you “knew them”, they were not posted. Also, even with those rules in place now, they’re against ToS because they threaten blacklisting and… you can’t really enforce things like that as a normal player. You just said they got an egg from the raffle. They won the egg. It was their egg. You cannot tell people what to do with their own belongings. See, this is the fucking problem, isn’t it. How dare someone slander “older members of the community”. Fuck that, idgaf how well known or well liked you are, you still can’t go around using your social status to bully people into doing what you want. Fuck that. May their status as “well trusted member of the community” go down the toilet with the rest of their cocky selfish bullshit.

Hey, I see you referring to the thread the egg was from as a raffle. It wasn't a raffle. Each user posted a list of items they really wanted and then they sent some other items in. It was a big distribution pool. Everyone was guaranteed to >>

get something out of it. All D and Md did was organize it and organize the helpers. They may have given extra items from their own hoards but not everything is from their own pockets. They’re not breaking bank over this.”I know the circumstances of the pool, and it’s still giving something to get something, which is close enough to a raffle. TBH, IDGAF if the raffle organizers profited or not… they still scammed someone out of their dragon.

Submitted them to DR already. I'm aware it's not the best platform, but it works. I'm just a third party, but I made sure to nab it before she took her thread down. My heart goes out to that girl.

It's a good spot for spreading awareness, at least! Good on you for getting those. Yeah, it's a crappy situation to be in, for sure. She's been getting a lot of support from the community, though, so FR has been showing its good-side colors today and I think that counts for at least a little positive, right? Of course, I'm not the one who was just scammed out of 4mT. ><'
