Please consider:

Fraudgang, but instead of pretending to be a lawyer when he’s not Wolfgang is pretending to be a homicide lawyer when he’s really a tax lawyer or something. He always introduces himself as the Ultimate Lawyer because that’s his literal title, and usually corrects people when they assume he practices murder law, but when the killing game is announced and underway everyone starts turning to him for answers so he just goes along with it to give the group some peace of mind. In this senecio he survives a couple chapters (which lets him participate in class trials) before his secret gets outed, ideally when he’s still alive so he can talk about his thought process throughout the killing game. Maybe he dies shortly after, in a sacrificial way like Sakura in THH. If he dies before the reveal then the characters and audience can look back at his past behavior and wonder if he was trying to seem cooler than he was or was there some noble intentions in his lie? What would maintaining a lie like that do to a person that values honesty so deeply? Did he want to become a homicide lawyer like his mom but wasn’t suited for it so switched his focus to an area of law he did click with? How would it make him feel to be mimicking his mother he idolized so very much? Would he see it as a tribute, a way for her to be with him in his time of need? Or would it feel like insulting her memory, like letting her down?

This actually could do wonders for his character, seeing him shifting his own role into what other people want him to be, perhaps arguing to himself that it isn't lying if he is doing it for the good of the group, if he never technically lies himself just fails to correct them. Trying to carry on a legacy he could never fully embody in the way he wanted to? It could be so good.

If he can't avoid the topic with Diana, he lies: "I didn't get a calendar." "It's a dinosaur calendar." "It's a Tozu calendar. Don't ask." "It's a dog calendar... I'm allergic to dogs." etc. just to get different reactions outta her.
