Halal Food
Buat yang muslim, tentu pertimbangan pertama adalah makanan. Untuk itu, saya kasih tips khusus untuk mendapatkan makanan halal friendly. Caranya kita bisa nulis “halal booklet” versi japan. Misal kita bisa nulis begini: “Halo, saya seorang muslim. Saya tidak makan semua jenis daging (babi, sapi, ayam, kambing, dll). Saya juga tidak minum alkohol dan sake. Bahan makanan saya tidak mengandung minyak babi atau minyak hewani. Saya bisa makan seafood dan sayur-sayuran. Buah-buahan OK. Thanks.” Nah kita bisa minta tolong orang Jepang untuk translatein kata-kata di atas. Bentuknya jadi kayak begini.
Internet and One/Five Day Pass Nah, paling penting lagi nih, internet. Kalau saya kemarin prefer untuk beli paket internet personal di bandara. Dapat 2 GB kalau gak salah. Lumayan OK. Kalau untuk travel pass, kita bisa milih one day pass untuk explore suatu kota. Dengan travel pass, kita gak perlu pusing bayar bus, JR, atau subways berkali-kali. Jatuhnya lebih murah juga. Kalau kita ke Fukuoka, kita bisa beli di Bandara atau Station Hakata.

Trip to Malaysia
It was my second international conference on IEEE. I was submitted this paper in the beginning of this year and have an opportunity to have a journey to Malaysia. I think Malaysia, especially Kuching Sarawak is worth place to have a relaxation since it not as crowded as Taipei.
My trip could be as categorized as long jouerney trip since from Taipei, I need to transit to Kuala Lumpur before arrive to Kuching. Meanwhile, for going back to Taiwan, I went to Kinabalu first then departed to Taiwan.

Defense the Master Thesis
Yes, finally. I can successfully defense my master degree in front of four Professors. Presenting this work is very joyful, also use ‘kupyah’ is full of pride as muslim. To get this state, much work need to be done, since my laboratory have a high expectation on all the members. I need to get 1 IEEE paper accepted and submit 1 journal in IEEE Transactions on. Also, I need to revise 1 unfinished senior paper and do submit it into IEEE conference.
Finally as my acknowledgement, I am grateful to Allah for establishing me to finish this master thesis. In addition, I would like to thank to my advisers Professor Wen-Hsien, Fang and Professor Yie-Tarng, Chen for all the guidance. Their guidance has been essential to me as a budding researcher in computer vision and machine learning. Thank you for pushing me beyond my limit. It was both an honour and a great privilege to work with them.
Hmm, studying at NTUST was great for me. I was fortunate to have met brilliant students and wonderful friends, including EE 401-2 lab member, Bapel UT Taiwan, PCI Nahdlatul Ulama Taiwan, and Ngaji Bareng member. City Tour Singapore
If you have a long transit time in Singapore, I highly recommend you to try the FREE city tour. When I was there, I took this opportunity to get into many sightseeing place in Singapore, including Marina Sands By The Bay, Garden By The Bay, Port, etc. It was fun, especially when I was there, the city is prepared for the F1 (Formula One) race.

Install Tensorflow and Related Problem
In this post, I would like to post how to install Tensorflow which actually quite easy task in Ubuntu. Please follow these steps: #cpu sudo pip install tensorflow # gpu sudo pip install tensorflow-gpu # or if you want to specific to some versions, please add this syntax: # note that for this instance, its refers to Tensorflow GPU version 0.12.0 sudo pip install tensorflow-gpu==0.12.0
Here, some related problems. If you want to use CUDA 8.0, please do not use the latest tensorflow, which is do not install tensorflow with this syntax : “sudo pip-install tensorflow-gpu”. Why? because the latest tensorflow satisfy to CUDA 9.0. Hence, please use spesific version of GPU such as 0.12.0, 1.14, etc.

Short Trip to Hong Kong
It was very joyful and grateful to have the opportunity to visit Hong Kong (HK). I never imagined before but thats life going on. My vacation was supported by my laboratory so I do not need to spend much money for all the accommodations, including round trip place ticket, local ticket (bus, metro, taxi, etc), foods, and hotel. I was lucky to have this facilities from my laboratory.

Exploiting Lantau Island with Ngong Ping 360. It was so fun to see a best view for a 25 minute ride. It only costs $185 HKD to get the best experience to see a breathtaking panorama of the Hong Kong International Airport, verdant, mountainous terrain of Lantau Island, Tian Tan Buddha and the 360-degree view of Ngong Ping Plateau. Thanks to @andy1994723 for the help and recommendation.
It was lucky, the weather supported of my journey. I was there, Disneyland Resort. Unfortunately time is limited, hence it forced me to back soon. Out ot topic, Hong Kong is a good place with a good public transportation. Surprisingly, the MTR is faster than MRT Taipei and the most important one, it's connected the islands. It will be cool if we (Indonesia) can adopt it to connect some of our islands. In here, I learn that public transportation is such a key if we (Indonesia) wanna be a better country.
Thats was my journey in HK. It was fun and full of joyful. I hope I can visit HK again later.
Presenting the IEEE ICME
It was my first international presentation during my study and it was very fun. I do feel grateful that I can join this big conference. My paper is about the temporal aggregation on first-person video using Hilbert-Huang transform methodology. So in this paper, I combined the deep learned approach and signal analysis approach to identify the trend and the pattern of first-person video features.
Why this is important? First-person videos are the arduous type feature since it recorded on first-person perspective. To record the videos, usually GoPro or such egocentric camera will be mounted on the head of the subject and let the subject perform some actions or activities. Due to the natural motion of the head’s subject, the features which generated from such algorithm will be so noisy. Some of challenges are background clutter, noise and unstable features, heavy camera motion, etc. Hence, a good approach need to be proposed to work on this kind of features.

Sun Moon Lake, Spring Break Vacation
Here I wanna share my spring vacation day in Sun Moon Lake Taichung. In my opinion, it was great deal to having break time there after working for couple of months. To get there, I am using TRA (train) from Taipei Main Station to Taichung Station. It just take about 2-3 hours and the ticket price is 375 NTD.
Actually there are three ways to get there, such as HSR (High Speed Railway) or Bus. After that, as muslim, we feel hungry, dong. So, we looking for halal food over there. Lucky us, we found Indonesian Warung that provide many Indonesian food. There is a new record for me when I eat there. That the first time for me to drink ‘es teh’. The legendary beverage of Indonesia. Finally, it just spend 140 NTD to eat ‘pecel dara’ and ‘es teh’.
By arrived in Taichung, so we already in the middle of the journey. It still take a half again to get into the destination. We take bus 6670 (as I remember, the bus is specially for Sun Moon Lake destination). I bought two way trip, which mean for go and back. It just spend about 350 NTD. After about 2 hours, finally we get there safely.
In there, you can go to visitor center information to get more better knowledge. There are many packages for vacation. I choose package for boat service which take 150 NTD. It will bring us to discover the lake with the boat.
Around the lake, you can find many destinations such as High Trail Way, Pagoda, many temples, and gondola. Unlucky me, I cannot get into pagoda and gondola.
I need to mention that I hike this way.
Finally, in the top we can see the lake with top view.
Finally in the sunset, we back to the first destination using the same boat again.
Then, we can spend the afternoon time by listen street music.
Seriously, she did well on singing. The sound very pure.
Finally, to get back to Taipei, I am using HSR which cost 675 NTD. It really fast, about 1 hour to get there.
For summary, it costed about: 1. 350 NTD Ticket Taipei to Taichung 2. 350 NTD Ticket Taichung to Sun Moon Lake for two trips 3. 140 NTD Breakfast in Indonesian Warung 4. 150 NTD Boat’s package in Sun Moon Lake 5. 675 NTD HSR Ticket to back to Taipei 6. 500 NTD Eating and the other in Sun Moon Lake place -------------------------------------- Total 2165 NTD Last word, happy spring vacation!
