My mother says that fanfiction doesn’t count as reading because “it isn’t nearly as good as the stuff that’s published. You’re not going to find something online that will win a Booker Prize.” Please reblog if you count fan fiction as reading, or if the fanfiction you’ve read is equally as good as published novels. I want to see the figures.
*crushes mouse while hitting reblog button*
I’ve read fanfiction that is much better than published novels, never mind just “as good.” I’ve read fanfiction that I wish had been the published novels (or movie, or tv show, or comic book, etc).
And yes, it absolutely counts as “reading”.
Wtf do they think reading means
I think many forget that not only do some fanfic authors write very well and create extremely good plots, but some even go out of their way to write up to 20 chapters? Even 50! So go ahead and say fanfic isn’t reading when half of the time fanfic writers will write more chapters than the average novel.
I don’t even read books, because there is fic out there that has outclassed it at every turn
The Computer Room is such a weird concept nowadays but growing up in the 90s/00s we really had a whole ass room dedicated to our computer. Anthropologists 1000 years from now are gonna think we worshiped computers so much we had shrine rooms for them
we renamed it an office to try and pretend but we all know its a computer shrine still

you people have to face the truth, the reason Edgeworth’s resting bitch face was so intimidating, was just because he badly needed glasses and was squinting at people half of the time because he couldn’t see shit

be kind. be ridiculously, radically, endlessly kind. be a part of someone’s good day. send nice thoughts, send positive vibes, send support and love and well wishes. be kind. so often we wish for tomorrow to be a good day when we are at our lowest. some sort of sign that it gets better. be a part of that better day for someone. the world does not magically decide that it will be softer on you today, tomorrow, the next day. and sometimes it starts with a message from someone else, maybe a little bit of inner strength to pull yourself up and take a shower, maybe a bit of sunlight makes the day better. but it’s these small things, these soft things that make a day better. so be kind. don’t ever think about being anything other than kind. be a part of someone’s good day because you don’t know how desperate they might be for it.
