“Machine men, with machine minds and machine hearts! You are not machines, you are not cattle, you are men! You have the love of humanity in your hearts. You don’t hate: only the unloved hate, the unloved and the unnatural. Soldiers, don’t fight for slavery, fight for liberty! You the people have the power, the power to create machines, the power to create happiness! You the people have the power to make this life free and beautiful, to make this life a wonderful adventure! Then, in the name of democracy, let us use that power. Let us all unite! Let us fight for a new world, a decent world . . .”
Charles Chaplin

Memories for a lifetime
Motion creates emotion.
This essay by Henry Rollins was originally published in Details Magazine in 1994. Iron and the Soul By Henry Rollins I believe that the definition of definition is reinvention. To not be like your parents. To not be like your friends. To be yourself. Completely. When I was young I had no sense of myself. [...]

Fortunate our job allows us time to travel and spend time in different cities around the world while growing and building our brand.
All it takes is one common interest to realize our similarities are more than our differences. The goals doesn't have to be the same, but the dedication to achieving them does.
Proud of this woman. I've been watching Stephanie competed since the first day I met her. I didn't know her the first time she competed in 2012 at "The Fittest Games" along side my friend, but I'm certain she give it all. To be honest not sure I remember what placed she finished then, but I've had a chance to watch her compete several other times and must admit she never fails to amaze me. Stephanie doesn't spend much time worrying about her lifts, diet, programming but she is simply consistent. Over the past 3 years her numbers have gone up and some may even say she is a natural athlete, but I would argue Stephanie just works hard. I will be first to admit she is more competitive than me in fitness matters, I myself find more joy in producing and hosting the best event in the business over competing in the event. Although I do think she can learn and pick up things very quickly, that isn't enough to explain her success inside and outside the gym. I consider her, the dark horse in any event because simply due to the size of her heart and determination. Stephanie will always surprise you and even more important she will beat you if you give her any slack. Stephanie, I'm proud of you and look forward to continue to watch you compete and succeed inside the gym and in life. I love you.
The load, the length and the speed are all dictated by you.
This thing isn't about you. It's much bigger than any of us.
Quality time with quality people.
Can't never have too much experience, but you can always practice learning more.
Pro·gres·sion A movement or development toward a destination or a more advanced state, especially gradually or in stages. Since arriving in Kuwait in 2013 our business has seen many coaches and members come and go. Change is inevitable, but it doesn't have to be good or bad, It just has to be accepted and embraced. When you decide to join a startup you have a daily choice to participate in a process to build something bigger than yourself. Unless you've been exposed to thinking big and long term many people cant invest the time and effort it takes to see their vision develop. Just like we train our bodies for physical adaptation you have to train your way of thinking to allow yourself to progress mentally. I often find more mental stimulation and satisfaction from business and professional success over fitness or performance success. I've been around the CrossFit gym for so long I often rather work on growing the company over training, but that isn't always the case. I'm a social creature and will be the first to admit a product of my environment. Since returning from a two month holiday to USA I've come back to find a completely new team of people not satisfied with getting by or doing enough to survive. Our organization has reached "the tipping point" Malcolm Gladwell defines a tipping point as "the moment of critical mass, the threshold, the boiling point". Today our team looks complete different than it did our previous two years and from the outside many will speculate is a bad sign, but as an insider I can assure you, this is the best programs CPCF has offered since our inauguration. From the way our classes run, the program's we offer, the results our athletes are getting and the relationships among the staff I can't think of anything else I rather be doing. Our success today is a result of our consistent effort to improve daily and it wouldn't be possible if everyone on this team didn't believe in their abilities or their choice to make a difference. Thank you to our whole team.
Takes a village to create change
We are less than 60 days from one of my favorite times of the year. Now on our 3rd year what started as a small project has grown to an international event hosting athletes from over 30 nations and 6 continents.
"Maskirovka" The 1944 Soviet Military Encyclopedia defines maskirovka as "complexity of measures, directed to mislead the enemy regarding the presence and disposition of forces.." Mission Impossible- Do you have a mission? You should. In fact we all need a mission, a goal so fucking unrealistic that while you plot everyone will think it's ridiculous. Some goals/ missions you should make public so you can be held accountable but others should only be shared with those with goals just as wild and big as yours. Before we continue I recommend reading "48 Laws of Power" .
