Would your muse prefer: Living in some fantastical, beautiful land alone, or live inside a crowded city?
“What kind of question is that…? Of course I’d rather live in a crowded city. Sure, crowds can get annoying sometimes, but it’s better than being completely alone. I do think… I’d prefer being away from so many people, so long as I could stay with her, but if that’s not an option, then… I’d choose her every time. Besides, the noise isn’t so bad, once you get used to it. Headphones will drown out anything.”
LONELINESS ;;
Toma would never leave the Heroine behind – even if forced to by her, he’d put up a fight. Sure, the idea of beauty and fantasy is appealing, but he’s a strong believer that home is where the heart is, and for him, that’s her. Beyond that, Toma is a lonely person. Even in crowded rooms, he feels invisible & going home to an empty apartment is par for the course. There are few people in his life he feels truly “sees” him (Heroine, Shin, Ikki, Kent, Ukyo) – and he’d do anything and put up with anything to hold on to them, even though he may not get along with them every so often (Shin…)
He’d rather put up with crowds of people who don’t even know he exists (as long as there are a few among it who do) than end up on his own when that’s what he’s fighting to escape in the first place.
