The world is so beautiful.
This ia relaxing. When I’m in Colorado, I miss the ocean, When I’m not I miss the mountains.
To yell. To admire. To jump. To snore. To clap. To walk. To hug. To listen. To talk. To cry. To smile. To relax. To promise. To run. To travel. To talk. To write. To eat. To fall. To dance.
these are very expressive for simple line drawings

Rosalie Goldberg
Performance art is permissive and open ended. Rosalie Goldberg calls it a collage of media, a collaboration of artists of different disciplines. This makes it a difficult medium to pin down.
Performance art is not new. It seems to arise when the vision of the art world becomes too narrow or conservative. It always seems to come at a time when we as spectators need a jolt to reawaken the curious and creative inside us.
Art is a matter of ideas and actions. Performance art encourages the audience to be engaged actively and to participate, rather than just viewing static objects.

During this performance, Maria Abramovic displayed vulnerability, pain, endurance, anxiety, self-confidence, courage, stamina with an enormous capacity to give.
The emotions and reactions from the audience were only limited by their ability to accept what she had to offer. There are no rules and if she should fail in her endeavor, it becomes part of the piece. The performance is what it is.
I liked that the movie went into how much pre-production work went into her piece, after she had decided what it was she wanted to do.
It was interesting to look at the emotions crossing the faces of those who became a part of her work. As I watched the people file by, each learning something different from their experience, I realized that her work reveals human nature, or maybe it exposes it.
She created her own reality and allowed everyone to come and sit across from her there.

Projection gives us an opportunity to share with others in ways we haven’t thought of yet.
Our relationships with projections on a screen are as varied and different as each of us. We interpret the light reflected into our retinas according to our own experiences and beliefs. The internet offers a way to utilize screens and to share with larger numbers than ever before. This offers a way for artists to express their thoughts and interpretations and share with the world without a middleman.
This is an interesting field that is wide open. I look forward to the work that comes from the artists working in it.

Discursion through time
Terry Berrett gives us dimensions in time; time, chronology, narrative, duration, tempo, actual time, implied time, recorded time, scope and sequence.
The chronology of art expressed as a narrative in actual time, implied as it is recorded in sequence, in an off-beat tempo for the duration of the scope of the project.
While using every term, it really doesn’t say much. Unless you use your imagination.
If one reads the sentence while giving meaning to the terms with images from one’s own experience, it begins to take on a life.
Choose art, say photography, now the chronology starts to take shape. When did we begin, historically, to take photographs. The narrative begins to grow. From the early experiments in lithography to sitting for minutes to capture an image, to going through numerous schools of thought about how photography can be used for art. Up to now, using adobe lighthouse, raw camera and photoshop to create the wanted image.
The tempo is offbeat because so many artists have contributed and who knows how long it will continue? The size of the project can only be decided by all involved. I’d say it’s an organic process.
