Sometimes it's hard to explain Functionalism as a concept to people who don't understand it because it is painfully obvious that what I'm explaining is just robot racism with a cool name attached to it 😭

I had a customer today who walked up to the register with an arm full of dragonfly tattoos and a dragonfly shirt to match. I told her it was very pretty, and she told me that in Dakota/Lakota cultures it is believed that, since dragonflies have two pairs of wings, they are able to carry the spirits of deceased loved ones. It turns out that each one of her dragonfly tattoos were meant for a specific family member that had passed.

The idea of that made me tear up for a good half-hour afterwards. Just a happy moment I thought I'd share.

Playing the 3DS version of Tetris always cracks me up a bit because there's just a little box where your Mii sits and if you're close to losing they start freaking out like they're about to be shot.

I've been getting into Tetris on my DS and wanted to play it on my Switch as well. I own Tetris 99, so I figured it might be a smoother alternative. Tell. Me. Why. I have to PAY to play REGULAR TETRIS. Marathon Tetris isn't free? On the TETRIS GAME?? Who decided that??

I love robots. Not only do they look cool, they demonstrate an intense feeling of alienation to the world around them, not feeling emotion in the ways we consider conventional, an inner self-hatred born of being socially and physically outcasted due to the circumstances of the birth of their consciousness, the horrible feeling of not being human and simultaneously not knowing how to act around them, and the type of black-and-white thinking that makes you even more distant from reality.
