Do you ever wonder "Gee, why do I never get sick?" (From airborne germs, that is). Well, friends, I have someone for you to blame: Columnar epithelial cells!

These little guys line your respiratory tract and have cilia on the surface. This means that when they find something that doesn't belong there, they use mucus to push it out! (It's also why our nose runs so much when we're sick, it's trying to get rid of the germs).

I don't want to keep studying lol, but this helped lift my spirits a bit (:
