im quite happy with the painting :) can you believe i did it all without the color picker? crazy
portuguese translation for yall: first i did a sketch just looking at the reference (i had already done a TON of figure drawings as a warmup)
then, i took my lines and placed them on top of the reference, kinda like reverse tracing? to see where my forms were off, i mostly exaggerated the chest & shoulders too much, plus the ankle/bottom leg was too short
then i created a second rough sketch trying to guess how to fix the differences, placed it on top of the ref and there were still some things off
finally i went to do the fixed lineart, already paying attention to the places that were off in the last step :)) and painted below the lines + on top to give off this specific "drawn but not quite drawn" style
“Even after being threatened by the great extinctions of the past, sharks remained resilient as they headed into the future. But now they wear clothes, use cell phones, play video games, and make music! How much time has passed?” 🎮🦈✨
I'll finally try to make a webcomic about these sharkfolk, I hope it works out, I talked a little about it here if you want to see.
Esteemed director of the Academia, responsible for overseeing all magic-scientific publications and the organization of the institution itself along a board of directors called the Magistrate.
The Academia is not only an academic institution encompassing all levels of education but also the governing body of the city of Magistadt, therefore, Alistair is functionally the Governor of the city.
should have known it was weird to have a random commission request from a random mother asking for drawings for her son, but at least i caught on quickly enough
anyway, because of people like that, i'll never open commissions to anyone outside my country, sorry but don't bother contacting because i don't want to take any risks
to the person that explained to me how tumblr works and how people mostly interact through reblogs, you have no idea how much you helped me feel inpired with my art again ദ്ദി(;´ᴗ`;)
seeing so much positive feedback on my posts (even older ones!) makes me wanna keep doing what im doing
Hello, My name is Mosab, and I live in Gaza with my family. Life here has become harder than I ever imagined, and I’m writing this with hope in my heart that you might hear our story.
The ongoing war has devastated my family. We’ve lost 25 family members—each one a beloved part of our lives, taken too soon. I miss them deeply—their laughter, their presence, their love. Every day is a reminder of this unimaginable loss.
We are now facing daily challenges to survive—things that most people take for granted, like food, clean water, and a safe place to sleep. The harsh realities of life here have replaced our dreams with the constant fight for survival.
Our Current Situation:
💔 Lost Stability: The war has left us without work or a stable source of income.
📚 Dreams on Hold: Like so many here, my family’s dreams have been replaced by the need to simply survive.
😢 Unimaginable Loss: Losing 25 loved ones has left a void that can never be filled.
How You Can Help:
I’m sharing our story with the hope that someone out there might care. Even $10 can make a big difference for us, and if you’re unable to donate, just reblogging this post can help spread the word.
Your kindness, no matter how small, is something we’ll never forget.
What This Means to Us:
Your support is not about changing our entire situation—it’s about giving us a little relief, a little hope, and a way to keep going. We are not asking for much, and we understand if you can’t donate. Sharing our story is just as valuable to us as a donation.
Thank you for reading this far. It means the world to us to know that someone is listening. Your kindness gives us strength and helps us believe in a better tomorrow.
With all our gratitude,
Mosab and Family ❤️
