The Sea Organ, or the Morske Orgulje, is an incredible feat of architecture designed to bring life back to Zadar, one of the world's oldest cities on the coast of Croatia. Carved into the steps are narrow channels that connect to 35 organ pipes, each tuned to different meticulously arranged musical chords. As the waves lap against the steps, they push air through the pipes and out whistle-holes in the surface above, making a harmonious and completely random musical arrangement. Project Monsoon is an hydrochromic paint project in Seoul, South Korea. Usually a vibrant and colourful city, Seoul's energy and colour tend to disappear during the annual 3 week monsoon season. D&AD New Blood and Pantone painted the streets of Seoul with a special formula paint which changes from transparent to opaque when it gets wet. Read more about this project.
