Born the second eldest of what was to be five children within the Özdemir family, Dilara grew up every bit ambitious, driven and determined as her father. Unlike his eldest born and only son, his she shared his natural knack for all things business and displayed such traits from her adolescence and beyond. While most would have looked at the children as leading their perfect life, one where they wouldn’t want for anything, while this wasn’t untrue the family pressures and need to have each of them prepared for what was to come as the family at the head of They Syndicate meant most if not all of them were stripped of a normal childhood. From as young as five years, they were trained in every possible aspect that would afford them to make their family proud. While most children went to school for but a period of eight hours in the day, the Özdemir children were subject to a rigorous schedule, on top of their education they had to master discipline, business studies, weaponry, hand to hand combat; everything and anything that would make them strong and ready to excel in whatever leadership positions they stepped into. After al they had the family name to uphold. A name that was feared by some and admired by others. Above all else Rami and Dilara needed to be ready the time came for Kaan Özdemir to step down and hand over the reigns to his eldest son. A huge responsibility that unknown to her parents, Dilara was more than happy to avoid. While she would play her part and do her best to support her brother and their family, she had no desire to be at the head of the table.
Ultimately she wanted more than to just exist as a member of the Özdemir family, she wanted adventure, to pave a path of her own. The raven haired woman was a vagabond at heart, or perhaps a bird entrapped within the cage of her own family duties. She loved her family by all means, but she wanted more than to fill a rank and play her part as she had been trained to do. Travelling abroad she attending university, where she would study a double major of psychology and business management was but her first glimpse into what her life could look like. University gave her purpose and was but another step on the pathway to chasing her own dreams. All the while she kept in touch with her family back home, writing or calling when she could and often taking the short flight home on weekends when time permitted it. It was difficult though, being away from everything she knew and loved. But her studies offered an escape, and she very quickly immersed herself in the university lifestyle. Before she knew it she was four years deep into her study and preparing for post-graduate study. She had a small group of close friends and she would always look back at her time abroad as being the place behind some of her fondest memories.
Nevertheless, after graduation he moment she returned home, it was almost as if she never left as she was thrust back into a life of responsibility and giving but all of herself to The Syndicate’s cause. While she didn’t resent her father for forcing her hand into such roles, she did wonder if the time she had spent at university would be her only reprieve from her own responsibilities within The Syndicate. However, as time went on she saw herself taking on more and more responsibility no thanks to her brother’s reckless endeavors to avoid his own. But the ultimate shock came with a twist of events when her father’s sudden death rocked the family. And when her brother refused the title, it was suddenly placed in her capable yet tentative hands. While it was always a possibility, the idea of anyone every refusing such responsibility like Rami had done was unheard of and a small part of her resented him for forcing her hand in taking the torch. To most Dilara Özdemir was a woman that was successful and quietly intimating. She wasn’t one to make mistakes. But beneath that rare smile and driven exterior, was a woman that was just as fallible as the next. She didn’t want for the title that was now hers and yet she would do her best to make it her own in the hopes she would not fail and instead would be every bit of the natural born leader her mother claimed her to be. While her father’s time in power had come to an abrupt end, her own was just beginning.
While Kaan Özdemir had but briefly tapped into the import and export scene with the America’s, Dilara was much more ambitious than her father and knew that with the right tools and don’t properly, they could expand their empire across the United States with ease. However, one particular obstacle stood in the way and that remained The Bratva. A Russian Mafia that had a stronghold in the city she had set her sights on, the metropolis that was Chicago. Still, the woman was rarely deterred in the face of adversity, nor by a challenge as big as the Vronsky family themselves. And while it took some time to get themselves further established within the city, as they approached the eve of the one year anniversary since their father’s death they needed to make a move. To let it be known that They Syndicate was here and they were ready to go war.
