Misdirected - Fallout 4 Fanfiction
So this is self-indulgent emotion-smut. Havenât really fanfictioned in a while, so i hope it's okay. If I need to add or change some tags, just message me. If you like it and want more, let me know. Anyway, it supposes that the Sole and Hancock have been in a relationship for a while and that Sole is terribly upset about something--like they just came back from the Institute for the first time.
Hancock sat on his favorite couch in the state house. Smoke and vapor swirled around his head like an unholy halo on its way to meet the haze on the ceiling. He had sat here in more or less this state for days as he waited to hear from Sole. He knew he shouldnât have spent all of that time worrying, but he couldnât have helped it. They could take care of themselves better than anyone he knew--they were like a deathclaw whose egg was stolen: the fiercest motherfucker around. And sure enough, Sole had taken care of themselves and had come back a few days ago. Not like that stopped Hancock from worrying.
As if summoned by his thoughts of them, Sole walked in. Maybe it was the tenseness of their shoulders, the square of their jaw, or the furrow of their brow that gave them away to him, but he could tell something was off. They closed the door behind themselves and scooped some jet off the table, inhaling it sharply.
âHey. You okay, Sunshine?â Hancock rasped, sitting a little higher up in his seat.
Sole slowly turned their dilated eyes to him, and he gave them some time for the brunt of the hit to wear off. âYeah.â they eventually responded, a little bluntly. âIâm fine.â Sole crossed the room to lean over Hancock and plant a firm kiss on his mouth. âJust missed you is all.â
He wanted to believe that, but he couldnât. It just sounded too hollow. Sole ducked under his hat to kiss his neck, which startled a groan out of him. Almost a pur, really. âYou sure?â He murmured in Soleâs ear. âYou seem like youâve had some stuff on your mind.â
âThe only thing on my mind is you, babe.â they trailed a line of kisses down to the lowest part of his shirt collar as they dropped to their knees between his legs.
âWow, hey!â Hancock chuckled, gently putting a gnarled hand under their chin. âHow about we talk a little first? Youâve barely said a word to me since you got back.â
âDo you want to talk or do you want to cum in my mouth?â
Hancockâs face went slack with surprise but he recovered pretty quickly. âWell, I⊠I do love that.â Images of Soleâs face flashed through his mind, cheeks taut from the girth of his cock, and suddenly his pants felt too tight. But he took a deep breath and steadied himself. âLook, Sole, if you donât wanna talk to me about what happened, you ainât gotta. But you gotta talk to someone. You bottling this shit up just ainât healthy.â
For a moment it looked like they might be angry with him and he readied himself for the storm. Then, like a rubber band pulled too tight, something snapped. Their smooth facade broke and their face twisted up miserably, tears leaking from their eyes. Soleâs head lolled helplessly onto Hancockâs chest, fists clenching his frock coat. Wordlessly, Hancock pulled them into a tight hug. He had never seen Sole break down like this. Eventually, their silent sobs subsided and their breathing evened out. Hancock stayed quiet--theyâd talk when they wanted to--and gently ran his fingers over their hair. Finally, in the smallest voice heâs ever heard come from them, Sole spoke.
âI am such a failure, John.â
