When people don’t realize that you’ve drifted apart so far from each other, even when you’re physically sitting directly beside each other. The distance between us is so apparent, no one comments anymore. You’ve hurt me more time then I can count and I’ve just tolerated it. It’s clear we are two very different people, this was never going to last when we both have distinct values. Sometimes it just takes a while to see how wrong this was and you need to walk away from toxic relationships.

Do you ever feel out of touch with the world? Feel like no one really hears you out or understands who you are as a person. Or is it just me? I try to be the best person I can be and try to be there for those who need me but do my efforts matter? I try to connect with family and new family but it seems like I keep running in to dead ends. I don’t need pity, I just wonder if anyone else feels this way. I feel like I’m just not one of those important people. I’m not popular by any means. Never have been. People would rather shut me out then be there for me. Though I’m there for who needs me. I’m beginning to think I’m meant to be alone. I’m meant to be quiet. That I’m just not the type of person to be acknowledged. I’m not a perfect person, I’ve made many mistakes. God knows what I’ve been through, but I’ve made it out alive. Life hasn’t been easy. Though It’s made me strong. If it weren’t for my child I don’t know how much longer I would be on this planet. I try to be the best mom the best friend the best daughter I can be. I know I shouldn’t dwell on the people who have so eagerly walked out of my life but it makes me question the type of person I am. Maybe I’ve overlooked things about my personality. I’ve never walked out of anyone’s life that didn’t want me gone I understand that people make mistakes, life’s to short to hold a grudge specially when things can be amended with a sincere apology and numerous efforts to regain trust. I admit my faults. I take responsibility for the wrong things I’ve said and done in the past. Yet I’m still an outcast to so many. How come I can understand and I can forgive and I can be there with open arms and some people can’t? How come it’s so hard for me to have a relationship with people that were family for so many years. Why can’t they see that life isn’t forever and this is the only chance we have to make things right and be a part of each other’s life while we still have the time. It hurts to know that no matter how much you reach out to someone the next time you’ll see them is at their grave. I think that really broke me when it happened. Call after call message after message for years no response. Then you are standing at their funeral surrounded by all the people who have shut you out of their lives for years and all you can do Is cry. It’s too late. I just wish I had someone to text me first. To come see me. To put the in that same effort I do and care to have relationship with me. Instead I’m shut out. Cut off from the world and for what? Am I that damaged as a person. Am I that hard to talk to? Am I that misunderstood? I reach out to people, and barely get a message back. People often get angry with me when I can’t up and leave because of medical conditions or lack of family to help with our son. But at the same time they won’t make time to come see us. I do my part yet no one wants to do theirs. When I shut myself completely off I don’t want anyone asking questions as to what happened (Not that anyone will notice cause they don’t already) I understand that as an adult we all lead different lives. But that isn’t an excuse to avoid friendship or family. You make time for the people that matter. Everyone’s going through something. My life is hectic daily but I still reach out to be ignored. It’s bad when you are tired of being the person you were when you were born. It’s sad when you hate the image in the mirror, it’s pathetic when you reject yourself because the world has. I can only pray that this feeling will go away. That I will be able to let go of all the hurt. And all the people who have thrown me away like a piece of trash. I wish I was one of those people who didn’t care. Instead I think about it daily. Therapist say “well it’s their loss” but it’s mine as well. I guess I will always blame myself. I just wish I could have been born someone else.

No matter how big or small or tall or short, no matter what car you drive or don’t drive, house you live in or trailer or tent, we all are given the opportunity to make the best out of the situation that we are in. Nobody’s life is perfect. Never envy someone for having what you don’t have or judge someone for not having what you have.

Happiness is a choice, for some in takes a lot to be happy and for others not so much. No matter who you are you face tough decisions, it’s up to YOU to make the right ones and laugh about the wrongs you’ve made in the past. Stop judging people for being different then you. Just because they don’t look like you, talk like you, act like you, have the same things you do or as much money doesn’t mean they are not happy or aren’t worthy of such emotion. People would be so much better off if they would stop caring so much about what other people are doing? Imagine how much time you are wasting gossiping about someone else, how much brain space is wasted due to your massive storage of people’s failures... How much further would you really be in life if you decided to help people up instead of tear people down???? Who are we to judge? Who are you to say “Someone can’t be happy if they are (fill in the blank)” You don’t know, you aren’t them. They are probably a lot happier then most people because they aren’t worried about everyone else’s business.... Be you, Stay true And be Happy!!!! Because we are all alive to see another day... Work harder to put a smile on someones face.. instead of judging someone’s happiness why not encourage it? Just a thought...

Slow Down.

10/19/18 Can’t the World Slow Down?

It seems like the older I get the faster the years fly by. And to be honest that scares the living crap out of me…. I will be 25 this year. I know that isn’t old at all. But I will be before long the way the clock keeps ticking. There is so much I want to do with my life. Start exercising, eating right, go to college, and set a good example for my son. I want to have a successful career. So that I can buy my first house. Not just rent one. Though I am grateful to just have a roof over my son’s head at all.

My dad is getting older and that scares me. I live in constant fear that any day could be his last and right now I couldn’t survive without him. He currently pays my rent. Helps pay for the car we are buying from American Car Center in Pelham. He does so much for me, for my husband and for my son. He may not always be the brightest person to be around, but neither am I. He has such a big heart and does so much for so many different people. You need help? My dads the guy. Though being too helpful puts you in a bind sometimes. Its been 15 years since my mom’s death. {It hurts me to think that she has been gone that long} And I am still not ready to lose another parent. I hope he is around forever. Knowing that’s not likely haunts me.

I need to take the time that I have now and prepare for the future. I don’t have anytime to waste and very limited resources when it comes to people that I know. Our son is only 2 now and I want to be in our own home by the time he is 5. Meaning in the act of purchasing it. I believe I can do it with the right mindset but what is it going to take to motivate me. My cousin Melissa said something about helping me out with college. But I am just not sure what path would be right for me at this point. I am leaning more towards psychology, but I am not sure that career field is in demand right now…. I saw something online about going to college for office tech. And learning how to run or work in an office. That seems like it could open a wide variety of jobs.

I just want more than anything in the world to be able to accomplish my goals, be a successful person, have the body that I have always dreamed of and find the motivation to do it all. Time is way to short… you think you have forever when you’re a kid. You think you’ll never be able to see the day when you reach adulthood. And then in adulthood we spend the rest of our lives trying to find that childhood happiness that we once had when we were younger. The stress wasn’t always present, bills didn’t exist. Your parents pretty much made any hard decisions for you. The worse thing we had to worry about was homework.

Its funny in a way. Are we every happy with where we are in life? Or do we just spend our whole lives looking for it…. Till the clock ticks away…..

I never thought about it that way. Well of course I didn’t I was a Child. But it makes sense.

Never thought I’d see the day where I’d work one of my dream jobs but I did it! I’m officially a lifeguard! I’ve always loved to swim. Been swimming under water without floaties or assistance since I was almost 2. Definitely have to get used to the heat but it’s worth it. I’ll be black by the time they close the pool. Watching the water, meeting new people, jumping in to cool off, I love every part of it. Something about being at the pool reminds me of the beach so it’s almost like I’m being paid to take a vacation every time I have to work. I take my job seriously and I know I’m properly trained and equipped for the job in case of an emergency. But I pray that I never have to intervene and that things continue to go smoothly. I’ll be a lifegaurd this next summer as well. Which gives me plenty of motivation to get myself in to better shape before then. Life hasn’t always given me what I want but it sure did this time. And for that I’m blessed! #BestJobEver

DO YOU SEE THIS? PHARMACY EMPLOYEES IN THE U.S. ARE NOT LEGALLY ALLOWED TO DO THIS. THAT GOES FOR THE PEOPLE AT THE FRONT AS WELL AS PEOPLE IN WHITE COATS BEHIND THE CAGE.

If an employee in a pharmacy makes a snide comment - Front store workers, pharmacists, or Pharmacy Techs give you shit? Gently (Or not so gently) remind them that the waiver they signed upon being hired legally binds them from commenting on your purchase, as it is a violation of privacy laws. Doing so is grounds for INSTANT termination and hefty fines.

Pharmacy workers (white coats) are legally obligated to ASK if you need an explanation of how medication works and any side effects, any medication conflicts etc. If you decline, THEY ARE NOT ALLOWED AT ALL TO MAKE SNIDE REMARKS OR FARTHER COMMENT ON YOUR PURCHASE. FRONT STORE EMPLOYEES CAN NOT AT ALL COMMENT IN ANY WAY, IN ANY STORE WITH A PHARMACY IN IT.

Know your rights. If this shit happens? Call them the fuck out and ask to speak to a manager. Get worked up. Cause a scene. Threaten a Lawsuit. If you see this happening to someone else, and they seem to be struggling, speak up for them.

As a Pharmacy worker, you bet your ass I’ll protect you and your privacy. IT’S MY JOB.
