Lola Falana.
In 1959, Dorothea Towles was the first black Maybelline model. This ad appeared in Ebony Magazine.
Having no sense of urgency isn’t normal; there are things you should be handling as soon as they come to you, and there are things you need to be actively aware of and taking care of. By having no sense of urgency, believing a higher power will handle something, ignoring the obvious, or leaving things until the last minute, you make your life significantly more difficult than it would be otherwise. I also think that you have to be able to rely on yourself, and by consistently holding off from doing things, you make yourself unreliable in your own mind. One might think that they fail at everything they do because they’re not skilled enough, but many a time, it’s because they leave things for way too late. Get in the habit of doing things promptly, get in the habit of answering emails and doing work projects/assignments swiftly, get in the habit of asking questions if you're confused, and get in the habit of being able to depend on yourself to get things done and never look back. If you can’t rely on yourself and handle business, you’re missing out on opportunities.

Put this in my moodboard.

What advice do you have for women in their 20s?
Eat healthy and clean. Regular physical activities. Cut down on the fast food and soft drinks. Don't waste time on what you want to do or who you want to be involved with. If they aren't acting right, don't stick it out. Leave as soon as possible. A lot of these people are distractions, and you don't wanna wait too long to go after your goals.
Don't get caught up in self-hate with your body type especially in regard to men because they like anything. You do not need a BBL. You do not need a big ass. You do not need big tits. Do not put so much self-worth on your beauty. Develop your identity. Be so dimensional and well-rounded that if your beauty was stripped from you, you can still shine in a room because of your talents and your passion for whatever you love.
If you're online regularly, network every day. Don't just be online just to be online. Utilize your platforms so you can gain some access to more opportunities.
Don't let friends or liquor sidetrack you. Appreciate your family members, especially your parents while they're here. Try to help/keep them eating healthy and doing regular physical activities too. Encourage it. They will get old and things will change. Then you'll have more responsibility on you.
