"Try the blouse and then the pirate shirt." He said smirking like devil himself. He sat down on the bench and just waited watching to see his lovely partner strip himself. Jovanni hoe-ish ways would not let him do anything else.
Dimitri hesitantly unbuttoned his vest and set it aside before working on his shirt. He turned away a bit from Jovanni as he did so, though that giant mirror meant he wasn't going to get away with fully hiding.
The demighost couldn't recall ever having a reason to take his clothes off while in disguise before, so he wasn't aware of what he actually looked like underneath it all. That's why, when his chest was finally exposed, he averted his gaze from the reflection as much as possible and focused on getting the blouse on. If he brought too much attention to it, chances were he wouldn't be able to try on anything!
"...?"
Unfortunately, in his haste to cover himself up again, he had forgotten the garment was partially see-through. His chest, which had a bit more substance to it in this state (even equipped with nipples), was plainly visible without an undershirt. Perhaps this was part of Jovanni's devious plot all along...
Jovanni was heading north through forest towards mountain in the distance following Primrose's lead. "How much further?"
"....A few more miles. It the big mountain in the center it's where the magic is coming from. But, still think you should pick something else. If you give me more time I can spread my search out and...."
"Primrose, I am not arguing with you again about this. I need to at least see what going on there." He stated with sigh as she fluttered forward. She stopped her as the sounds of horses could be heard.
A tall orcish woman fell nearby. She wore only rags covered in small wounds and she looked half strived. She winced in pain as the horse road up to her. Two winged Kobold landed on each side of her, their scales as red as fire they pointed spears at her as the rider of the black horse stopped
"We finally cornered you. You little sneak thief. You do know stealing food from the store is like steal right from my father's horde and you RAN." He shook his head holding the reins of the horse.
"You will punished severally for this transgression."
"Please. I just needed some food for my children. We cannot pay the lord's tax and get food. I am sorry. Please my children have nothing with out me." The woman pled on her hands and knees.
"BAH, That is no excuse to steal from tyrant. Maybe after your children see your punishment they will learn they must WORK for their meals like everyone else."
Jovanni began to step forward towards the group as he heard everything. Primrose floated in front of him.
"We shouldn't get involved. We just hear to see what going on. That woman stole something."
Jovanni simply gave Primrose a deep glare before moving past her without saying word. "HEY." He called out walking up. "Leave her alone."
The half-dragon turned his attention towards the newcomer. "I am servant of my father, the tyrant who rules these lands outsider. This none of your business." He sniffled the air. "Hm.....you are ugly for human I will give you that." The Kobolds chuckled at the comment. "You would be wise to be on your way travelers and pay tribute as you go through the mountain range to Tyrant. Take her." He barked at the two Kobolds.
Jovanni quickly grabbed the one closed to him and threw hard against the other one across from the orc. He leap into the air and came crashing down on both of the winged Kobold crushing them to death. Making them splat against the ground.
The jester stayed invisible, knowing there was no way for him to hold Jovanni back from a fight once it started. Instead, he focused on bringing the victim to safety.
Dimentio gently touched her shoulder and snapped his fingers as the kobolds were slammed against the ground, making her vanish from sight as well. He held a finger to his lips once she could see him, then proceeded to pull her back from the fray. He could only hope the draconic prince would back off soon, lest he also end up painting the rocks with his guts...
"I am not ALLOWED to lie to him or keep shit from him. I am his familiar basically. I have to follow his orders to certain point or magically I might get fucked up. Trust me tried to do this any other way." She huffed out herself as Jovanni kept moving.
"No...Well, maybe a little, but never to this degree! I know it's hard to believe, but he usually puts the needs of others he cares about over himself. I'm not sure what's gotten into him lately, and it worries me..."
"Jovanni, the magical essence is pretty power I think we should find a different...."
"That's even more reason to check in on it. Show me where it is. If it something causing pain and suffering I need know."
She frowned. "Dragons are not things to be messed with easily ESPECIALLY the old ones. They are not just fucking big lizards you can easily slay. The seasoned ones have fought people like you before too. I am telling you we should..."
He cut her off again. "Tell me where it is. Show me."
"FINE but, we ONLY going to go look for now." She fluttered in front of him huffing.
"Hun, I get what saying. I love you but, we're here now. She got to help me. I need go to do this even more so now. She gonna cast a spell and look for one I am sure this most complex part of this whole thing." He nodded to himself looking at his lover with big smile.
"Well, for your sake, it better not end up being some town's sacred guardian...or someone's family member...or even someone's partner. That would be beyond simply being awkward."
It seriously felt like Jovanni was trying to kill himself with this ridiculous crusade. Would he even stop after fighting the dragon? What was he trying to prove?
"That's not how this works." She almost crying. "I was so CLOSE too. Just few more years of forest duty and I could have been apart of the courts. A dream job. I never thought be caught by fucking HUMAN." She sniffles.
"We can't even loop hole this. Others SAW this happen too. OOOH GODS." She was sniffling. "Fae magic makes to wear I have to follow his desires now. I have to make sure I aid him. FUCK ME."
Jovanni winces deeply at what she saying as she turns to his partner looking sheepish. "I....I didn't know where book came from I just found one in old library."
The jester placed his hands on his partner's shoulders, staring deep into his eyes.
"Jovanni...dearie...I love you..."
"...But I also want to throttle you. I hope you understand this. Now, can you put a pin in your dragon fighting quest and step back for a bit? Maybe think things through more before trying anything else and making your situation even worse? Please?"
"W-well ya know Fae are magical and shit usually have answer and I thought just catch her ask. Most of the book talk about Fae not walking to talk to people. That's why I had the net and didn't say my name." He stated back to his body clearing his throat.
"Oooh by the GODS someone saw this happen. We have WITNESSES. I can even loop hole out of this." She floated down to log and looked defeated.
"...And dare I ask what book this was you were looking at? Which realm did it come from? Do you even know?" Was this man seriously only using one source for researching this quest of his? What if it was completely fictional information in its place of origin??
Dimentio looked over at the forlorn fae and let out a sigh.
"Look, is there any way we can negate this whole...servitude thing? Make a wish for your freedom? Give you an article of clothing? Anything?" Could they simply pretend it wasn't servitude and try to build a friendship out of it? He was feeling pretty bad about being involved in the mess to begin with...
Jovanni had gotten back onto the ground and was holding the struggling net until it stopped moving. "Alright." He said aloud. "I am going to open the net now. DO NOT hurt me. I just wanna talk to you Ok?" He said softly looking the edge of the net closed.
He slowly began to open as beam of green energy blasted inches from his face as leaped back. "LADY WHAT DID I JUST SAY?"
"DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEA WHAT YOU DONE YOU STUPID STUPID MORTAL?" She shouted this at the top of her tiny voice vibrating with rage in the air fluttering right in front of him.
"Um...." Jovanni wasn't thinking this how interact would go. "I....caught you in net so I could ask question...?" He said sheepishly.
"YOU CAUGHT ME TO ASK ME QUESTION? WHY DIDN'T YOU JUST FUCKING ASK ME LIKE NORMAL PERSON. I AM HIGH FAE. DO YOU KNOW WHAT MEANS TO CATCH A HIGH FAE? I HAVE TO BE YOUR SERVANT NOW UNTIL YOU DIE." Shouted loud as trees and plants shook with her magical rage.
"...And this is why you look into a specific realm's natural order before going off and making assumptions, Jovanni."
"You're lucky you didn't get your name stolen or turned into a tree just now! How do you even know this one's going to have the answer you're looking for, huh? Did you consider any of this??"
He huffed, trying to calm down before he completely exploded on his himbo boyfriend. He was clearly just as frustrated about this as the fae.
Jovanni had been camping in this bush for a while now. Some of his friends and lovers had come by to check on him but, he wasn't giving up. He watched the circle of mushrooms finally glow again and he widened his smile gripping his net tighter.
Suddenly in poof of smoke was tiny little fairy. Her wings were like wet leaves, her head was shaped like rose and she looked more like plant then anything else. She fluttered for a moment looking around.
"I GOT YA." He shouted as the net fell down onto the little fae folk who was so shocked by loud noise she didn't move in time. He caught in the net and then held the net together. "HAHAHA I got you now I need to talk you about...."
Suddenly the net started to lift off the ground with Jovanni still holding onto it. He was now being dragged by spooked fairy. "WAIT WAIT I AM NOT GONNA HURT YOU AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH."
Dimentio was unable to keep Jovanni invisible with him, as his grasp on his shoulder slipped when the creature was jumped. If it were up to the magician, he would've just used his slowing spell to immobilize her right then and there. However, the other was so insistent on doing things his way...
That didn't mean he wasn't going to assist, though.
With a snap of his fingers, he placed both the frantic man and the fairy in a large, yellow box together. Jovanni was technically still the one who captured a fae, by his logic. He only made their space smaller.
"My love you can always be my fairy." He flirted back, Jovanni always taking the time to flirt back with partner. "But, the plan is my little sugar jester is to catch a fairy or fae. Making them tell me where dragon is and then I go fight it. Don't you know in alot of lore Fairy and dragons are mortal enemies. So they must know where some of them are because they have to avoid those areas." He beamed at his own logic that didn't make whole alot of sense unless you were thinking about the way he did.
"Now ssh hun. We talk softly. Fae have REALLY good hearing from what read. I should brought some honey with me too I read they also like sugar too ya know." He said softly keeping them both down with the bush.
Dimentio had a lot of questions, as well as a lot of contradictions he could've pointed out. Just because fae were enemies with dragons in some realms didn't mean it was the case for all realms. How was Jovanni so certain this was the case here? Did he know that fae could sometimes be just as dangerous, if not moreso, than dragons? Did he do the right research?
Instead, he made an offer.
"...I can probably do a better job at capturing a fae than that silly net," he whispered. The magician then placed a hand on Jovanni's shoulder and snapped his fingers, making both of them invisible. "Let me take care of this."
"GOTTA YA BITCH." Jovanni shouted as his net went down as he swung his net thinking teleport was fairy. He beamed as he dragged him out of the circle before it went off. He looked into the net and frowned. "Dimenito....ya not fairy....WHY you are in fairy circle?" He dunked back down dragging his beloved out of the net and into the bush. "Also. SSSH. I am fairy hunting here."
The poor jester got tangled up in the netting before he could escape. The sudden capture nearly sent him into cardiac arrest, he was so spooked! He laid there in the net for a moment, pouting when Jovanni expressed disappointment.
"...I-I could be your fairy, if you want me to be?"
What was he even saying? He was supposed to be helping, not flirting!
"Anyway, how was I supposed to know this was even here? Pinpointing a specific spot to teleport to from a long distance isn't always easy!" Perhaps it was the circle being a source of magic that attracted him there?
"And wait, I thought you were looking for a dragon. What's this about fairies now?"
He has big butterfly net over his shoulder and he walking through a forest. "Alright first step to finding dragon, is catching a fairy. Got find one of those mushroom circles and just wait until a fairy pops out." He nodded to himself as if this was some solid plan. "This place feels magical now if I was a..." He said as stepped on a group of vines and broke through them.
He screamed as he fell down a hole tumbling still holding his net as he skidded to the ground. 'FUCK." He swore as he picked hat back up from his the ground looking around. He spotted a magical glowing circle of blue mushroom. "Well, that's convenient." He said walking over to nearby bush and crawling into it. Peering out at circle. "Now we play waiting game."
And then sure enough, a fairy did show up...well, sort of.
Having been unable to slow Jovanni down, Dimentio took it upon himself to track where he was going and meet up with him. It was just in case the madman needed any help with this reckless plan of his.
Unfortunately, the spot he teleported to happened to be right in the middle of the fairy circle.
"Ah, well...P-Perhaps you should make sure you don't encounter one that produces light? Breath types and whatnot? That might prove to be, er...problematic."
The magician was uncertain on whether he should be supportive or concerned. He had witnessed all kinds of powerful beasts in numerous dimensions, many of them being in accidental encounters he quickly regretted. Jovanni was built different, though...
"I've got you sweetie. There few dressing rooms open over there in the corner of the store away from everything. Come on." He happily walked him over there with the clothing he had still in his arms. He didn't mind holding onto any of this. Plus he wanted to see other try on all of this. It was going to be fun.
Dimitri went over to the furthest possible changing room and opened the door. On one side, a few wall hooks and a bench were present. On the opposite side, a large mirror. He turned to Jovanni, suddenly feeling a bit shy.
"Um, so...which one do you want me to try on first?" It was a choice between the two different flannel patterns, the starry blouse, and the pirate shirt.
"Good boy." He uttered softly into her ear more just watching him clearly enjoying the show. "Good boy Dimentio." He said again just watching his beloved as he said his name.
His lips quibbled as he let out a tiny whine, like he was being denied something.
"...J-Jovi, please..."
He clutched his chest tighter. The fabric of his poncho was pulled down, exposing a very visible neck from the collar. What exactly was he begging for?
Dimentio turned towards the noise, murmuring in his sleep. With the magician now on his back, Jovanni could see him clutching his chest...for some odd reason. There wasn't even anything for him to grasp, but regardless, his love's gentle egging seemed to have the desired effect.
