Hi, I figured it’s time to write again. I wonder how different I am now.
Lately...
I find myself always just running in circles, and I hate that I know what I’m supposed to do because I’ve done this before but .. I’m here again. What do I need to do differently?
How can I find myself in different places instead of the same.. it’s a disease. I have to start all over again, learning to love myself.
I’m starting to lose site of who I really am. I’ve found myself lying, making up little fib because I almost cannot keep up this persona. I need to recoop because I’m not very happy with myself.
It’s starting to affect those around me. Be honest with yourself.
Sometimes, you’re a fuck up.
but most of the times, you aren’t. It’s ok to lose ..once in awhile. Remember this is how we learn..
Learn, CMV, learn.
*sigh.
Elk River, MN-based Dan Pauly of The Rustic Way builds wonderfully charming asymmetrical cabins featuring slanted roofs and walls, tiny windows, and crooked chimneys. They’d be equally at home in a fable, fairy tale, or Dr. Seuss story. Put one in an open field, and we’re guessing an enchanted forest will eventually grow up around it.
Pauly designs and builds cabins that function as guest cottages, playhouses, outhouses, garden sheds, and even saunas. A 4th generation woodworking artisan, Pauly’s family emigrated to the US in the 1800s and his great-grandfather built barns in central Minnesota. Some of those barns are still standing and are a big part of the reason Pauly specifically uses reclaimed wood for his own cabins:
“As I uncover an old barn or shed, I realize that it could be the same lumber that my great-grandfather used more than 100 years ago… Until you have dismantled an old barn, you can’t imagine the painstaking effort it took from Old-World craftsmen to erect it. They were each a work of art… This wood reflects our natural heritage, and has a much richer and more attractive patina and grain than modern wood.”
Visit The Rustic Way website or Facebook page to check out more of Dan Pauly’s fantastic cabins.

Daniel Romano’s Eccentric ‘Countrypolitan’ Sound Blends Sincerity And Irony
Canadian musician Daniel Romano specializes in country music that’s a throwback to a bygone era. Rock critic Ken Tucker calls his new album, If I’ve Only One Time Askin’, a “moving collection.”
World’s Oldest Woman Just Pleased Every Other Human On Earth When She Was Born Now Dead
“Reflecting on a long life that began at the end of the 19th century, the world’s oldest woman told reporters Monday that she could not be happier that every other human on earth the day she was born is now deceased. “Nothing, not one single thing, gives me more pleasure than knowing anyone who was alive on March 5, 1898—my family, my friends, and even far-off strangers that I never knew existed—is stone-cold dead,” said 116-year-old Misao Okawa, smiling as she observed how all 1.6 billion of the people who were alive the day she came into the world had passed away, one by one, during her remarkable lifespan. “I’m the sole fucking survivor. I’m the longevity queen. I’m the one who stuck it out while everyone else threw themselves on the corpse pile. Man, it’s too bad I’m in a wheelchair or I’d trample every single one of their fucking graves.” Okawa went on to say her only regret is that she probably won’t outlive all her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.”
Stop talking about it
And be about it...I hate getting comfortable but it's my nature for monotony...I also have major control issues and that's why monotony is preferred. I always find myself in these funks, where it's almost worse than a low because you can pin point the reasoning to your negativity and mood. Being stagnant is close to insanity for me. This is just another letter to myself to fucking stop being bored, or out of tune with yourself. Get your life together, girl. Find your fire and your passion again for life. Learn. Grow and always stay hungry. Find life insatiable again. Do it.
For an ongoing project entitled Great Masters Having Great Times, Brazillian-born Lorenzo Castellini walks the streets of São Paulo, inserting paper cutouts of iconic paintings into photos of the city and its residents. Using tiny pieces of paper and his camera held at just the right angle, suddenly Vincent van Gogh himself is standing outside a restaurant, Medusa is lounging on a couch, Venus poses demurely with the Shell logo swapped for her giant scallop shell, and Jesus is dashing to catch the train.
Featuring works by artists such as Frida Kahlo, Picasso, Jean-Michel Basquiat, Michelangelo, Botticelli, Caravaggio, Henri Matisse, Albrecht Dürer, and René Magritte just to name a few, it’s surrealist air collage and it’s delightfully awesome.
Even one of Dalí’s melting clocks makes an appearance:
Castellini began his project earlier this month with the simple goal of making people laugh and it has since blossomed into a very popular Instagram feed.
Follow art.lies on Instagram to check out many more of Castellini’s whimsical air collage photos and keep up with the latest additions to the series.

Today the Department of Phenomenal Papercraft is exploring that awesomely intricate folk art papercuttings of Hertfordshire, England-based self-taught artist Suzy Taylor. Her original designs are inspired by nature and rural life. Brimming with birds, flowers, leaves and more, each exquisitely delicate piece is drawn on a single sheet of paper and then cut out entirely by hand using a craft knife.
“A customer at an art exhibition, on closer inspection of my papercuts, suggested I might be ‘a bit bonkers!’, and I suppose when it comes to my papercutting, he must be right,” she wrote on her blog. “I love working this way, it’s totally absorbing and I can get lost in it for hours.”
To check out more of her wonderful artwork visit Suzy Taylor’s Flickr and Facebook pages. You can learn more about her painstaking papercutting process via her blog. Taylor also sells prints, cards, coloring sheets and templates via her Folk Art Papercuts Etsy shop, which is currently on a temporary hiatus.
