I have been ironing out the tilesets for each level recently and decided to do a little test.

I found the old tileset from the first little demo of Dinosword I made for a 80's/childhood inspired show called Childhood Revisited in Milwaukee, WI. At the time I started working on it, it was just something to do after work for fun. I was showing my artwork at various galleries around town and doing local indie craft shows. I met a lot of awesome people, some of which I became good friends with.

I've since moved, found new work, and made some new friends in Salem, Mass. Dinosword moved slowly into being just something I messed with every once in awhile, to me feeling the need to work on it daily.

I think I've made some progress. Time to get back to work!

Sketches from Today. Got bored for a second and started drawing Chompy as different Street Fighter II characters.

I spent some time making some animations on my old frame grabber yesterday. It's been awhile since I've made a pencil test. There's an animation of a boss running on that old TV. You can't see it, but it's there.

So, Sam came up with an interesting idea for a scene featuring a slew of bats. It's starting to come together.

I've been working hard creating the opening animation for Dinosword. It's a minute long teaser video that succinctly explains the storyline. I'm in the process of creating and compiling fx/music to finish it up! We are aiming to have our Kickstarter page ready in a month.

ROBOTS OR DINOSAURS?

Man, that’s tough one. Dinosword is about a heroic dinosaur named Chompy, so I’m going to have to go with dinosaurs. Robots are super cool though. No question.
