Acknowledge your self-critical voice and reframe its observations in a more friendly way to form the blueprint for changing how you relate to yourself.
This is an essential skill in self-compassion. It may take some dedication and practice, but it is well worth it!
The paradox is that when resistance is fully accepted, the resistance disappears.

An awesome way to give children days of clean drinking water!
UNICEF’s tap project is back! Funded by Aqua di Gio, all you have to do is open this link on your phone (the url is: uniceftapproject.org ), and not touch it. For every 15 minutes you leave your phone alone, a child receives a day’s worth of drinking water for free.
Please please please check out this project, it’s awesome and dear to my heart. I know a lot of people aren’t able to donate when they want to, here you can do so without having to be torn.
Please share this project. Reblog. Like. Tell people about it, get them talking, there aren’t many like this around.
Yesterday I was clever and tried to change the world. Today I am wise and try to change myself.

Mindfulness
Recently, I was taught a skill called mindfulness which is all about being aware of your emotions, your thoughts, your physical body, your environment, and the people around you.
There was an analogy that my teacher used to describe mindfulness that I really enjoyed:
Life is a hike, and on that hike, we pick up bad and good items—memories—which we place in our backpack. Mindfulness is all about being aware of the items in your backpack and knowing which ones are useful and which ones are just weighing you down. You have to learn to remove the bad items from your backpack and leave them behind to make room for new, better items. When you lay these bad items down, you must forgive and learn from them.

My Struggle with Anxiety
I didn’t realize that I had anxiety which I think is very common in most people with this illness. I’ve been suffering from anxiety for four years, but I only recognized it was anxiety a few months ago.
I am an empath which means that I have a tendency to take on others people’s emotions on top of my own. I bottled all of those emotions up until they overflowed, and I broke down. I would cry for hours on end, and think things that I normally would never even dare to think of. For a long time, I thought this happened to everyone until my mother described to me what anxiety was.
I’ve had some awful anxiety attacks, which are also known as panic attacks, during those four years. I remember one time very vividly where I wished I was someone else and tried to scratch my own skin off, hoping that there was someone else underneath. There have been other times where I just cried for hours, then I would completely shut down; I would stare at the wall and refuse to respond to my surrounding for a stretch of time. Even though, the attacks only lasted a few hours, they would affect me for days.

The Troubling Life of a Teenager
I have recently started a new project to help myself, as well as other teenagers, in dealing with certain mental illnesses. The past two years I have experienced anxiety, depression, chronic daily migraines, and an eating disorder. I have made it my mission to share my experience and what has helped me with other teenagers in the hope that it will help someone out there.
This new project is an informational book on these four illnesses to start out with. The books purpose is not to state symptoms or medications that can help; its purpose is to help people better understand how a person with one or more of these illnesses feels which means that this book will be geared towards the person with one of these illnesses as well as their friends or family.
The book will include quotes, advice, and experiences from people who have suffered from these illnesses, including myself. In order to make this dream a reality, I need your help in adding quotes, advice, and experiences.
If you wish to help me out, please contact me by clicking on the contact me page.

There’s some saying that no matter what, when you put two people in a room together, people will want them to fall in love. Tumblr is proof that they don’t even need to be in the same room. So no matter what you do, if you’re writing two people as friends and not romantic...
