A special chariot is prepared for Dussehra, the tradition of making this chariot is about 600 years old. Only the tribals of the Samvara tribe can make the chariot work, but now this tribe has become extinct. Due to this, the tribals of other tribes change their caste and become decorated. In order to rejoin their caste after Dussehra, these tribals have to face financial punishment. The special attraction of Bastar Dussehra is the magnificent chariot prepared by the tribals with sticks. The tribals use traditional techniques to make this chariot and this chariot is very strong made without the help of any modern technology. Adivasis from every corner of Bastar region join Dussehra and pull the chariot. On the chariot, the umbrella of Mother Danteshwari is kept, during the time of Rajshahi, the Maharaj of Bastar also rode in the chariot. After the completion of the ceremony of Bahar Raini event, the tribals of the Madia tribe take the chariot to a place called Chura Ka Kumhadkot. Different tribes of tribals were given responsibility for every ritual of Bastar Dussehra, thus every tribe becomes a part of it. But when Bastar Dussehra was celebrated for the first time, the Madia tribe was not given any work, which angered them and they stole the chariot.
